I woke up in complete darkness, confused. It was always bright in Chat Blanc's world. It took me a moment to focus my eyes, trying to see in the dark. I didn't hear anything, or anyone, so it surprised me when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Chat?" I whispered, my voice shaking slightly.
"Correct," he said, kissing my neck from behind. I trembled under his touch, scared of him, and where I was.
"Where am I?" I asked quietly, still letting me eyes focus.
"You are in a place where I can keep an eye on you," Chat said, holding his hand up, and producing a bright orb so we could see. He held his hand up, so I could get a better look. There was what looked like a large platform that I was standing on, with running water below. An elevator was in front of me, and not much else.
"You're in the Agreste mansion," Chat murmured, hugging me with one hand.
"There's no way," I whispered. "I knew Adrien Agreste, and he would've told me about this place."
"Maybe he didn't know," Chat said, walking over to a wall and flicking on a light. A beam enlightened a small area, and Chat Blanc steered over to that section. A whole lot of my things, including my chaise and sewing stuff were in that area.
"Did you bring my stuff here?" I asked, shuffling over to it. Chat nodded, laying on the chaise. There were many of my pictures stuffed away, probably that Chat didn't know about, and so much more. I held up a picture that I took of Chat and I, sniffling when I saw it. Chat Noir's face was so kind in that picture, and seeing him now broke my heart. My sniffling alerted him, and he got up, walked over to me, and peered over my shoulder. He hissed lowly, and snatched the picture out of my hand.
"Chat, no!" I yelled, tears streaming down my face. "Please, I wan't to keep that!"
"I won't allow it," Chat growled, lighting up a cataclysm.
"Please, Kitty!" I cried, slapping my hands to my mouth. I called Chat Blanc...Kitty?
He froze for a moment. "What did you say?" He asked, diminishing the blue orb. I looked down, keeping my eyes from meeting Chat's.
"Nothing," I muttered. Chat Blanc walked over to me, the photo still in hand, and he tipped my chin up, forcing me to look at him.
"I'll ask again, what...did...you...say?" I wrenched my face from his grasp, and quietly spoke,
"Kitty."
He looked at me, and sighed. "Fine, you can keep the picture." I breathed a sigh of relief, but it seemed a moment too soon.
"However, I'm going to modify it a bit," he said, smirking. I could only watch as Chat used his powers to change the black suit in the picture to white. The face changed too; no longer was it caring and sensitive, it reflected the way Chat Blanc had become now. He handed it to me and more tears streamed down my face.
I turned away, not wanting to see him. Everything about this new life reminded me that I didn't want to even live anymore. I wiped my tears off my cheeks, and huffed.
"Why am I even down here?" I muttered to Chat.
"You're here for your own good," he said, "and you're here because I don't need you running off."
"I'm not a prisoner Chat!" I suddenly blurted out. He frowned, and walked over to me. He grabbed me by the wrist, sitting me down on the chaise.
"Then don't act like one, trying to run away from me," he responded.
"Just leave me alone," I growled, trying to act all tough. However, that was ruined when my stomach grumbled. He grinned, making me even more irritable.
"I think my Princess needs food," Chat responded, producing macaroons from her bakery from behind his back.
"Just leave them over there," I said, pointing to the table with my stuff on it.
"Don't I get a thank you?" He asked.
"No."
"I didn't have to get you anything," he retorted.
"So then just let me starve!" I yelled. Chat growled, setting the macaroons down, and walking over to the chaise. He jumped over top of me, not really pinning me down.
"What are you doing?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
"Teaching you a lesson," he growled, his tail thrashing. I froze, feeling a sense of deja vu. I curled up into a ball, not even paying attention to him anymore.
Chat, stunned and confused, got off of me, and lay down to face me.
"Princess?" I didn't answer.
"M'lady? What's wrong?" Again, I stayed quiet.
"Marinette, love, please talk to me." Love. That was a new one.
"I miss you," I murmured.
"What do you mean?" Chat asked.
"I miss you- Chat Noir," I said quietly. He reached over to me to rub my back. Why was he acting so nice all of a sudden?
"Chat Noir wasn't strong enough, but I am," he said. He pulled me close, hugging me with affection, and not force.
"I can protect you," he continued. "In this world, no one will hurt you, because it's just us, forever."
"Well, Kitty," I said, (His face lighting up when I called him Kitty) "I don't think I can be strong either."
"What?"
"Please, let me go," I whispered. "Give me the miraculous, I can fix this. You and I can be together, I promise." Chat Blanc's expression hardened, and he took his hand off my back.
"I will never let you go." Shocked, I sat up, watching him walk away.
"Wait, where are you going?!" I asked quickly.
"I need some time," he growled. "Just remember, I make the decisions, and mine is that you'll stay here with me forever."
He started the elevator, walking in it. I watched him go up, until he was no longer in sight.
I'll never let you go...
I lay back down, honestly tired and feeling depressed. I wasn't hungry anymore, even though there was an ache in my belly.
Why did I have to fall in love with Chat Noir?
