MARINETTE'S POV:
The next few days were uneventful. Chat kept to himself most of the time, and I wandered the mansion. Every once in a while we hung out, with him mostly just trying to cuddle with me. He really wanted the affection, and I most of time obliged. However I couldn't stop thinking about my earrings and Tikki. They were in his staff; only if I could get them! I could fix everything, and Chat Blanc wouldn't be in pain anymore. I would see my family and friends again too.
I pondered this as I sat on the walkway outside the Agreste Mansion. Sitting Indian style, I traced the bricks on the ground, letting my mind wander on the subject. I slightly jumped when I felt Chat's tail wrap around my waist.
"Chat! You scared me," I huffed. I heard him snicker, as he sat behind me, holding me close to him.
"Maybe that's my intention," he muttered, resting his head on my shoulder. I sighed, and continued to trace the bricks with my finger.
"Chat?" I asked.
"Mhm?"
"Aren't you ever bored?" I looked back at him. "I mean, what is there to do?"
"Plenty," he answered.
"Like?"
"Talk to you," he said, skimming his hands along my back. "Hang out with you, that's all I need." I sighed, and looked up at the sky. I was starting to get sick of the bright blue, and not just in the sky.
Chat and I sat there, as he touched my back. The hairs on my neck stood up when Chat Blanc lowered his hands near my waist. I suddenly had an idea. I needed to get that staff. I turned around, and sat in Chat's lap. He looked surprised, but didn't say anything. Smirking at him, I kissed him straight on the lips without hesitation.
His eyes were wide for a moment, but he melted into the embrace. His hands held me close, roaming slightly. Deepening the kiss, I opened one eye, and reached for his staff. I managed to grab it, and throw it into the tall grass to hide it. I closed my eyes again, and let Chat take over.
Finally, we stopped, and Chat sighed. "Princess...that was amazing." I smiled, and climbed off his lap. He grabbed me, and kept me there.
"Where are you going?" He asked, looking at me dead in the eyes.
"I-I'm going to go draw," I lied. "I miss making dress and clothes designs." He let go of me after a moment, and nodded. I walked behind him, swiftly bending down as if I dropped something, and grabbed his staff. I walked up the stairs, and went into the house.
Trying to stay calm, I walked into the black room, and locked the door. I knew he didn't want me in here, but if I succeeded, it wouldn't even matter. I opened the secret compartment on his staff, and found the earrings just laying in there. I grabbed them, and put them in my ears. Tikki appeared, but I motioned for her to stay quiet. In case He was listening.
"Tikki, Spots on," I whispered. I transformed, and I sighed. It felt good to be back in my superhero suit.
That's when I heard it.
The most inhumane roar a person could ever muster. It was about to go down.
CHAT BLANC'S POV:
I sat on the pavement, thinking about the kiss my princess had just given me. Dazed, I traced the bricks that she had traced. It was finally time, my princess had kissed me with passion. She was falling in love with me. The way I loved her.
I made up my mind to go get her a little something, and reached behind to grab my staff. I felt around for a moment, panicking when I couldn't find it. Then it hit me. She took it when we were kissing; this kiss was all a distraction. And she took it, because...The Earrings!
I growled, angry that I had been tricked. I started to run inside, stopped when I felt it. Marinette had transformed back into Ladybug. With all I could muster, I roared, the sound bouncing all around Paris. She was going to get it this time, and this time, I would fix everything.
MARINETTE'S/LADYBUG'S POV:
I shook at the fury that Chat radiated. It was going to be hard to face him after I betrayed him. However I was going to fix everything.
Bursting through the door, I ran outside and swung with my yoyo up to the roof. I scanned for Chat Blanc, with no luck. I relaxed a bit, until I heard a soft thump. I spun around to see a furious Chat Blanc. He glared at me, hissing quietly.
"It's over Chat," I said, sounding more confident than I actually was.
"Oh?" He scoffed, walking towards me. "It's over for me? I am the one who has the miraculouses, I created this world, everything belongs to me. YOU BELONG TO ME!"
I froze, shocked. Did he just think of me as his possession?
"I am No ones," I retaliated. "And, I have my miraculous back!" Chat growled, and lit up an orb in his hand. It grew larger as he walked me to edge of a building.
"It's funny how you think you can win against me." He grabbed my face and made me look at him. "And it's funny how you think you can 'save' me. I saved you, and all you need is me." Disgusted, I kicked him back, making his cataclysm diminish. He grunted from the force, and I took the opportunity to get him to the ground.
I called out my lucky charm, and it cam back as an hand-held X-ray. I smiled, knowing exactly what to do with it. I made sure to keep Chat down for one more second, and swung away. Using the Xray, I looked at the house, hurrying in and around the rooms to try and find the miracle box. I didn't have much time, so I looked in all the places I believed Chat would put it. I heard him finally get up from the roof and roar, so I tried the last room I could think of.
The black room. It was there, right in a safe I never noticed. I broke the safe with my yoyo, and grabbed the box, opening it up. They...they weren't there.
Chat busted open the door, breaking them off their hinges.
"WHYYYY?" He screamed at me. "WHY would you BETRAY me?" I got my yoyo into position, swinging it.
"Where did you put them?" I asked angrily, glaring at him. He didn't answer, and just launched a cataclysm at my yoyo. My reflex was to block it, but instead my yoyo broke, disintegrating from his attack. It was hopeless; I didn't have my yoyo anymore. However, I wasn't going to give up without a fight.
Chat Blanc had a different idea. He jumped at me, releasing a cataclysm at my wrist. It didn't hurt me, it just chained me to the wall. I tried to move, but couldn't. I knew the anxiety was showing through my eyes, and Chat loved every second of it. He paced slowly in front of me, and gripped my face.
"You actually thought you could beat me," he said, dangerously low. I gulped, and tried to tear my face out of his grip. He extended his claws and kept me there.
"I think I've been going too easy on you," he continued. "If you can't love me freely, I'll MAKE you love me." He went to cover my eyes, but stopped midway.
"Actually," he said. "I need you to see this part." He held my face still, and went to take my earrings. I pulled my head back, and Chat nails scratched my face. He growled warningly, and I stopped, my face burning where it was scratched. He took my earrings successfully this time, and let go of my face.
He put on the earrings, and secured his ring. I knew what he was doing, and I yelled, "STOP!"
He looked at me, and scoffed. "We could have done this the easy way. But you decided to go and fuck it up." He held up his ring, and pointed to the earrings. "This will be endgame."
He knew it would kill me to see him as Adrien, so he detransformed, and Plagg zoomed out. He looked miserable. Not only that, but he was now white with blue eyes. I gasped, crying.
Tikki also appeared, and she too was white with blue spots and blue eyes. I struggled against my bonds, trying to get to them.
"Tikki," Adrien started. " I looked at him with pleading eyes, but he just grinned heartlessly. "Plagg," I cried out again.
"Unify."
