I'm putting Skarlet here because I felt like she had the most potential, her MK9 version that is. A flesh pits creation that had the very overpowered ability to get stronger with the more blood she absorbed. She was also technically Shao Khans true daughter. I wish they did more with her in MK11 instead of just the retcon that she was a random street child.

How can I not put the First Lady of Mortal Kombat in here? Sonya has been a staple in the franchise ever since the beginning, a badass military official who doesn't take shit from anyone, with legs that can literally kill. She was also, surprisingly, one of the few characters that wasn't ruined in the most recent games. Also I'm not gonna lie, I think she and Johnny make a pretty damn good pairing for each other.
3. Kitana

Kitana is what everyone really goes to as "the best" female character in Mortal Kombat. I don't blame them. She's iconic with her design, fighting style, and character of being under Shao Khan's rule, but later fighting against him. She does get her ass kicked a lot, but it helps save those moments where she does get a win....except if it's retarded like in MK11.

Ah yes, my personal favorite female character in the franchise. A lot of favorites as well. A clone that was created to replace Kitana, showing a hideous maw but a beautiful body. Her psychotic but also surprisingly loyal nature makes her an interesting character, added with the fact that she's a sort of tragic character. I do hope that with the next storyline we can see the "Femme Fatale Trio" from that MK9 ending. But if she's my favorite why is she number 2? While I love Mileena with all my heart, there was no way she could beat number one...

Seriously, how can you not get a more perfect character in the series? A subversion of the evil queen trope, where she's actually a loving and noble woman. A proud woman who cares for her people. One of the few to spit on Shao Khans face by killing herself to create a shield to protect the other realms. But best of all, a mother who truly cares for her daughter and will go to hell and back to save her.
Meanwhile retcon Sindel, aka Twindel, can go jump into the sea of blood.

Ngl, Jade is definitely the hottest girl in the franchise, but there's not much to her character. She's mostly just very loyal to Kitana and rescues her when the time is needed, or be an awkward shoe horned love interest for K K in a WHEELCHAIR.

I know the Kombat Kids are a mixed bag but I do enjoy Takeda and Cassie. The daughter of Johnny and Sonya, shes a good example of taking both parents and making them into a badass combo.
