"the fuck? get the hell away from me."

"huh!?"

"what? are you deaf or somethin' now!?"

"i was just trying to ask if you had the homework..!"

(m/n) rolled his eyes with a click of his tongue. "i don't give a shit. your perverted stench is poisoning my lungs– back away." he crossed his arms.

(l/n) (m/n). if you thought bakugou was hot-headed, you probably aren't mentally prepared to deal with this guy. he is able to find and pick a problem with everyone. not just the students in his class- everyone.

he'd pick problems with the teachers, staff, random pedestrians— even villains. it's surprising to see he's made it this far... he was lucky he had a good quirk to back up his bad attitude.

midoriya stepped up to defend his classmate. "(m/n)-kun! y- you shouldn't be so rude to kaminari-kun, he was only asking you a question!"

"oh great, and now you've got the biggest baby of the class trying to defend you. i don't need bull from you, what was it..? deku..?" (m/n) scoffed heavily.

"hey!" the brunette at his side shouted in anger. "you don't have to be such a jerk! you're even worse than bakugou!!"

(m/n) looked at her blankly. "good one. comparing me to bakugou surely did something to my feelings– oh, man! i'm oh-so, deeply wounded!" he placed a hand to his heart, hunching over.

he then slowly raised his head, inches away from uraraka as he glared deadly into her eyes. "i don't want to hear shit from a broke bitch like you. go back to daydreaming about your wimpy-ass boyfriend."

"i- i—" she back away, her cheeks heavily reddening as sweat trickled down her face.

yeah. this guy was scary. how did he even get into UA? nobody could handle his horrendous attitude—

"(m/n)!!" a hand karate-chopped the top of his head from behind. "stop harassing our classmates! you know true heroes do not act like that!"

the entire class gasped. no way iida just hit the (l/n) (m/n). was he asking for a death wish!?

(m/n)'s head dropped, and his hair covered his eyes. "tenya..."

'oh no! he's gonna blow, take cover!!' everyone backed away from the scene, nervous of (m/n)'s reaction.

luckily, his response surprised them all.

"no need to hit me. that hurt..." (m/n) took iida's hand, moving it from his head.

the blue haired boy sighed. "you deserved it after everything you said to my friends.."

"am i not your friend too, tenya?" he looked behind him to iida curiously, the two still holding hands.

the speckled boy blushed every-so-slight and looked away. "of course you are. that does not mean you can speak to them like that."

(m/n) smirked, dropping iida's hand. "alright, 'm sorry. i'm just not feeling the greatest today."

the rest of class watched as the two interacted. (m/n) was like a whole different person when speaking to iida..! it wasn't fair.

"i wish he were nice to us like that," kaminari scoffed.

"well, him and iida have know each other for a while. they are neighbors after all," midoriya informed.

"oh!" uraraka piped up. "so, they're, like, childhood best friends?"

"mhm, i guess you could say that."

"how do you know that, midoriya?"

midoriya laughed nervously. "iida told me, and i wanted to know more so... we talk about it for a while."

"tenya, you're worrying for nothing. let go." (m/n)'s words brought their focus back to him and iida.

"no! you clearly stated you weren't feeling well. let's go to the nurse, hurry!"

"tenyaaa," (m/n) whined. the blue haired boy ignored him, turning to his friends as he walked to the door.

"tell mr. aizawa i'm taking (m/n) to the nurse. we won't be long!"

"okay..." iida didn't hear them, as the two boys were already out the door.

"you're so fuckin' annoying sometimes, tenya."

"well, my apologies that i worry about you."

(m/n) clicked his tongue. "i'm not even sick. my head hurts, that's it."

"then let's get one of those special gummies they give out. you should be fine in no time."

it was no use. iida was too insistent. (m/n) followed along to the nurse, sitting on one of the beds as iida grabbed a gummy for him.

"you know.." (m/n) chewed on the gummy. iida sat down beside him. "i don't know why you bother so much."

"huh? i don't know what you mean."

"i mean," he sighed heavily. "it's clear you can't stand bakugou. and, i'll agree with everyone— i'm just like him. but worse. is it just because we live near each other? d'you think i'll come bother you if you get on my bad side?"

iida frowned, "how could you say that!? i've told you many times, even when we were young– you.. are different. and that's why i plan to stick around until the very end."

"different..." (m/n) hummed. "i'm different. is that a good thing, tenya? being different?"

"well, in this sense, it is."

"that's good.."

silence fell between the two. despite (m/n) being such a hothead, he felt comfortable around iida. like he had no reason to shout, or be angry, or be on his toes. he was at peace.

"ah, (m/n).." iida turned to the other.

(m/n) turned as well, not noticing how close they were to each other. "hm? yeah, what's up?"

"i.." iida froze up, his shoulder's getting tense as he glanced off. "well, uh. i- ah..."

"tenya?"

"(m/n), i think—"

"hey, what're you two boys doing in here?" the nurse, recovery girl, questioned as she walked into her office.

"oh, hey, chiyo," (m/n) peeked over iida's shoulder to the old woman.

she glared at him. "it's recovery girl to you, (l/n). anyways, you two boys need to get to class!"

(m/n) rolled his eyes, standing from the bed. "yeah, yeah. we're going, don't get your panties in a twist, grandma. lets go, tenya." he took his best friend's hand and walked out to the hallway, ignoring the pro hero's shouts of complaint.

"you were going to say something, tenya?" (m/n) noticed iida's silence as they made their way back to class. he also remember how nervous he was. what was that about?

"oh." iida shrugged. "no worries, it was nothing."

"are you sure..? you know you can tell me anything, i'll take like a true man," (m/n) puffed his chest out proudly.

iida laughed softly at his behavior, making (m/n) less suspicious of his behavior. "yeah, it was nothing."

"mm, alright.." he glanced at his friend one last time before heading into class.

iida sighed, nudging his glasses further up his nose. he enter the class, apologizing to aizawa and explaining the situation before seating himself.

'i can't believe i embarrassed myself like that. i will never allow that to happen again..!'
