Chapter 3

"Oh my god!"

"Calm down," I said in a calm tone, so she won't panic.

"How could I, Travis? I'm bleeding."

"Don't worry it's normal." I wiped her tears with my fingers.

"I know but it's... embarrassing." She averted her gaze and bit her lower lip.

"Period is normal. So wait me here, my red warrior. I'll just buy something for your period."

I ran to the store here in our campus where I could buy those girl's stuff. I was already panting and sweating when I reached the restroom where I left her. Kumatok ako at nahihiya niyang binuksan iyon.

"I'm bleeding," she said horrified. "Am I going to die na ba, Travis?"

"Of course not. It's part of puberty and that's normal. So come on, just take this." I handed her the paper bag. 

Mikaella's lips parted when she saw them. "Y-You bought these girls' stuff."

"Yeah, except for the skirt. I borrowed that from my little sister. Good thing she had an extra uniform in her locker."

She gave me a nod before walking inside the restroom. I leaned my back on the wall and played with my bag's strap while waiting. Inihatid ko siya sa klase niya pagkalabas niya dahil anong oras na. Na-late ako pero ayos lang. 

"Kuya!" She gave me a warm hug. "I got a perfect score sa quiz kanina."

"Really? Good to hear that. What do you want? I'll treat you."

"I want takoyaki and milktea."

"Hoy ako rin!" singit ni Mikaella na papalapit sa amin.

"Ang tagal mo."

"Sorry na. Tara, gutom na ako."

"Bags?"

Kinuha ko iyon sa kanila at ako na ang nagdala. Nasa likod iyong sa akin habang nasa magkabilang balikat ko naman ang bag ng dalawa. They were in my front so I could clearly see how excited they were for the treat. Mga babae talaga basta usapang pagkain at libre ang lalakas ng pandinig. We headed to the Mall near here. I will just call our driver kapag magpapasundo na kami.

"Restroom lang ako." Tumayo na si Mikaella kaya kami na lang ng kapatid ko ang naiwan sa lamesa.

"Baka may gusto ka pang order-in aside from takoyaki and milktea?"

"Really? I can add more?"

"Of course."

"Hmm... I want shawarma. I haven't eat that for a month, I guess."

I just nodded and walked to the counter to add that in our order.

"I'm happy that you're doing well in school."

"Of course, Kuya. You know naman na I want to be a doctor, so I have to."

"Just please don't stress yourself too much. You're too young to put a lot of things in your plate."

"I will, Kuya. You know what? You're spoiling me." She pouted like a baby, and I let out a small laugh.

"Don't you like it?"

"Of course, I like it, Kuya!"

"If dad was still here, I know he would spoil you too like what he did to me and Ate Sofie when we were kids. But since dad couldn't spoil you anymore, then ako na lang ang mag-i-spoil sa 'yo."
