"Are you sure we're gonna do it?"
"Yes, baby. You're craving, right?"
"But is it really okay with you? You will gonna pay for it 'coz I don't have money here."
"I told you, we will buy all your cravings. So while we're on our way, list mo na lahat ng want mo kainin."
"Okay, I'll type it sa notes ko."
Inilabas nito ang iPad at nag-type doon ng mga gusto niyang puntahan at kainin. Tumingin ako sa side mirror pati na rin sa likod habang inaatras ang sasakyan upang ilabas sa gate ng bahay. Mag-a-alas cuatro pa lang naman kaya marami pa kaming pwedeng puntahan.
"Kuya, takoyaki tayo," sabi nito pagkatapak namin ng escalator.
Sa Mall na kami pumunta dahil nandito na lahat ng tindahan na mayroon ng mga bibilhin namin. Mas mahirap magpa-uli-uli sa labas. Mainit na, mahagad pa sa gas. Humanap kami kaagad ng pwesto at um-order.
"Drinks?"
"I want blue lemonade."
"Blue lemonade sa kaniya. Ice tea naman sa akin."
Nag-picture muna kami habang naghihintay na ma-serve ang order. We just ate takoyaki on our favorite restaurant then after that we headed to the Dunkin Store to buy her favorite donuts. We also bought ice cream for the two of us, cotton candy, pizza, and a korean cheesedog.
Dinala namin ang mga iyon sa sasakyan para roon na kainin. We watched her favorite p-pop boy group while eating inside the car. Tuwang-tuwa siya sa pinapanuod habang ako tahimik lang. She kept on telling me good things about the group. Nakikinig naman ako at ngumi-ngiti lang. I'm not a fan nor a hater. As long as masaya rito kapatid ko then I will support her.
"They are so inspiring talaga, Kuya. Isipin mo naman dati sa Mall less than seven lang audience nila kapag nagpe-perform. But look at them now." She pointed the screen with people watching the concert. "Grabe nakaka-proud talaga sila. They are indeed an inspiration to everyone. Hindi naging madali lahat, ang dami nilang pinagdaanan. Pero sa kabila ng lahat they chose to fight for their dreams. Marami mang hindi nagtiwala, maraming nang-down, pero nanatili silang matatag at lumalaban. This group deserve every single inch of their success."
I can see in her eyes how proud she is for that group. I don't know them pero based sa mga sinabi niya, I'm starting to like them. We just finished our food before driving back home. I just parked the car on our garage and went to my bestfriend house to give her my pasalubong. Manang opened the gate for me.
"Nasa taas, nanunuod."
"Nasaan po si Tita?"
"Umalis sandali. May binibili lang. Puntahan mo na lang ang batang iyon sa kuwarto niya."
"Sige salamat po."
I walked up stairs and went to her room. She opened the door and a wide smile appeared on her face when she saw the takoyaki and mango graham I bought for her.
"Gosh! Anong mayroon at may pagkain?"
"Ipinasyal ko si Hope kanina. Then naisipan kitang bilhan ng pasalubong. Inihatid ko lang. Uwi na rin ako."
"Don't you wanna stay here?"
"I still need to do my assignment and have some review for recitation tomorrow."
"Oh okay. Don't stress yourself ah."
"Ikaw rin. Matulog ka ng maaga. Huwag magpupuyat."
"Sabihin mo 'yan sa sarili mo."
