"Hello Batangas!"
Itinaas nito ang dalawang kamay pagkababa ng sasakyan at umikot habang nakapikit na dinadama ang hangin. Sumandal lang ako sa gilid ng kotse habang pinagmamasdan mula rito ang tanawin ng Bulkang Taal. Dinama lang namin ang hangin ng probinsya bago kami nagpasyang pumunta sa kakainan namin ng lomi na malapit lang dito.
"I can't imagine that we had a trip to Batangas just to eat lomi. Given na there's a lot of Lomi Batangas branches in Manila," I told her while we were sitting on our table and waiting for our order to be served.
Mula sa pwestong ito ay tanaw ang magandang Taal Volcano.
"Pasalamat ka nga hindi kita inaya rito para lang magkape."
"Lakas ng tama mo."
The waiter served our order and I can see the amusement on my bestfriend's face when she saw the toppings. It's mouth watering to be honest. The beautiful aroma of it made me craved more.
"What an authentic lomi Batangas."
"Where do you want to go after this?" I asked her while we were eating.
It's still hot so what we can do for now is to stir it to minimize the heat. Unless we want to burn our tongues.
"Italy."
"I didn't bring my passport and other travel documents."
"Oh we're just same. Next time na lang siguro."
"Yeah, I think so."
The delicious flavor of it exploded in my mouth. I used to Lomi Batangas in Manila but this is different— it excelled. We just talked about random stuffs while we were eating. She's a slow eater so I need to adjust. After we ate, we hopped in to my car to have a road trip.
Nag-ikot-ikot lang kami sa Batangas. Pinuntahan ang mga kilalang lugar dito at nag-sound trip sa loob ng sasakyan. Mikaella looks so happy that made me feel satisfied. After all, that's one of my goal in life, to make her happy. Umalis na rin kami ng Batangas ng alas-tres ng hapun dahil pupunta pa kami ng Tagaytay.
"How was your trip?" my Mom asked when I entered the house.
Pabagsak akong naupo sa mahabang sofa dahil sa pagod. Naihatid ko na rin si Mikaella sa bahay nila.
"It was tiring but fun."
"Have you eat na ba?"
"Yes, Mom."
"Okay good. I'll go up stairs na."
I laid on the sofa and covered my face with the magazine. I just felt the tiredness right now.
"Kuya, you're here na pala."
Inalis ko ang nakatakip sa mukha ko at naupo upang harapin ang kapatid kong may hawak na laptop.
"Nah, it's not me. Computer system lang ako."
"Duh!" She rolled her eyes. "Anyways, saan ka ba galing? I didn't see you kanina."
"Batangas."
"Nag-ano ka naman sa Batangas?"
"Nag-lomi."
