Chapter 26
I blinked twice because of what she just said. My mind was pre-occupied of so many questions when she put the scissor on my hand. She smiled at me but her eyes tells pain and sorrow.
"Why do you want me to cut your hair?" I asked to clarify even though I already know the reason.
"I want to donate my hair to Mikaella," she answered without hesitation.
"Are you sure?"
I know how much she loved her hair. Hope used to take care of it for so many years. She only allowed professional hair dresser to touch it. That was the reason why I really did not expect to hear that from her.
"I can't help her with her illness. Kahit dito man lang matulungan ko siya."
What she said made my heart flattered. I walked towards her and pulled her for a hug.
"Thank you for doing this, baby," I whispered and carressed her back gently.
We headed to her room and she sat in front of the vanity table.
"You still have time to think. We do have other option aside from this."
I know how much she loves her hair. Therefore, I know how hard it was for her too to cut it. She looked at herself in front of the mirror.
"I know there are still other options. But I want to do it on my own. But for those cancer patients like Mikaella, they were just wishing that they still have one. Some people are hating their hair. They do not appreciate its own uniqueness and beauty. Not knowing that there are people out there who are praying to have what they have."
I leaned and hugged her from behind. "I'm so proud of you, baby."
She took a deep breath when I held the scissor to cut her hair. Miracle Hope used to have a long hair below her waist length ever since.
"I'm so happy, Kuya." She hugged me tightly.
"Thank you for your bravery," I uttered and kissed her forehead.
"Meowww! Hish!"
"It's bath time, baby." I carried Mimosa on my arm.
She kept on crying while we were on our way to the bathroom. Compared to her mom and sister, I was a heaving a real hard time when it comes to her in bath time. I put her down slowly on a bath tub with bubbles and warm water.
"Meowww..." She sounded like she was begging me to pull her up.
Ack! So cute.
"Sorry baby but this is for you too."
"Meoww!"
"Fuck!" She scratched me.
"Meowwwww!"
"We're almost done na, baby."
