Espresso's pov—
"Madeleine..."

"Madeleine..."

"Madeleine!"

I sighed and kept looking down at Madeleine's sleepy body, he was actually kinda cute like this. So peaceful...I placed my hand on his cheek and smiled. I know he had a rough day yesterday but if he doesn't wake up I'll have to go fight for him, and I don't want to do that.

After a while of thinking I saw his eyes slowly flutter open, and his cheeks blush into a really pretty red.

"Espresso...?" He muttered.

He then sat up and looked at me, "Why does my whole body hurt?"

"Well...You were out fighting and...you can guess the rest right?"

He nodded his head and looked me in the eyes, I put my hand on his chest and laid on his shoulder. I looked up and kissed his cheek.

"Hey Madeleine..."

"Yeah."

"You feel good enough that I don't have to fight for you right?"

He laughed a little and nodded, "Don't worry you don't have to go in for me."

I looked down and sighed in relief, I then looked back up at him, "But are you sure you're okay, is there anything I can do?"

He looked down and kissed me, "No, I'm fine."

I sat there in shock and blushed, "O-oh okay."

I moved my hand and clung onto him more, and he pulled me closer.

After that we cuddled for the rest of the day.
