"thoughts on my outfit for tonight?" i turn to the girls and they cheered, "you look fucking hot and the guy you were flirting with definitely will be drooling" dixie exclaimed taking photos of her. "what's his name anyways?" dixie asked and i gave them a clueless look and their eyes widened. "you don't know his name?!!" avani exclaimed, "no i don't!! i only called him mr mysterious so far" i further explained, "kinky" teased avani. "yeah saw that first awkward interaction" dixie sympathised and i cringe at the memory, "surely, you know vani" i pry and she shakes her head, "i do, but not telling you sounds more fun" and i inwardly groaned. we made our way out of the dorms over to the hype house like maybe a 1km walk over campus.
avani and i joined hype during orientation day, usually there is an initiation but because we know thomas from high school and he knew our bubbly fun personalities he knew we would be a perfect fit. "ugh the walk is so long, next time we are catching the campus buggy" avani groaned, "no next time no heels" i joked and she rolled her eyes. i was excited to meet the other members of hype, i knew of mia being thomas's girlfriend and obviously met jack today and also ryland because he was in my sisters year but it will be cool to meet new people. i loved a party, life of the party my friends called me in high school.
we had finally arrived to the house and wow it was amazing. it was huge and it was already loud, and there were huh crowds of people. i see thomas a familiar face, "hey there's thomas let's go" i say as the girls followed behind me. thomas eyes lit up, "oh my god meli! and avani heyyy" he greeted us pulling us into a hug. "this is mia my girlfriend" he introduces the shy girl beside him, "hey mia nice to meet you! i'm amelia! and thomas she is as beautiful as you describe her to be, you lucky man" and she coos her thanks and brings me into a hug, "let's introduce you to some members hey" mia says as she leads avani, dixie and i to a large group of people mostly guys. "guys these are more of our new members, amelia, avani and dixie" as she puts to each one of us. they all look at us and smiled, "hey little stevens and avani missed you party gals" ryland cheered as he hugged us both, avani honestly hated ryland she thought he was a pig just because when he got drunk he got horny and hit on her too many times when he was a senior and we were juniors (only one year between us). "this is my boy nick austin" he introduces a tall blonde guy and not even going to deny he was so cute. "hey, amelia was it?" and his voice so sexy, and i nodded, never in my life have i been speechless, "and i'm avani and this is dixie" avani budded in beside me and he smiled and nodded. "you have really pretty eyes" he complimented me and i blushed, "thank you! you're blue eyes are better though" i say returning the compliment "yeah but you have those specks in your eyes so you definitely have the upper hand here" and i could tell he was flirting, he definitely knew what he was doing, "ok enough flirting nick, let's introduce her to the other members" mia says as she rolled her eyes. "so this is alex, kouvr, michael, jack and jake" and everyone smiled and waved, "we have met jack already, he's friends with the guys from sway, avani's boyfriend" i explained, "fraternising with the enemy i see" Nick teases and i gasped jokingly "me? no! never" and nick offered to get a drink and i agreed as he disappeared.
dixie had a smirk on her face, "ooooo he definitely was flirting with you" and avani agreed, i flip them off as i see mr mysterious enter the house. we made eye contact, he and anthony made their way over towards us. "hey girls and jack" anthony greeted and we gave him a wave as anthony breaks into conversation with jack, avani and dixie. leaving me to face mr mysterious, "hey again, you going to tell me your name now?" i break the silence loud enough to break the sound from the music, "haha where is the fun in that" he teased and i could tell he was definitely out of place, he seemed like he didn't want to be here. "ok ok, you don't look like you wanna be here?" i prodded and he replied "not much of a partier" he answered directly and i just nodded and before i could reply, nick makes his way over to me with my drink and i thank him and he drags me to the dance floor. then i hear my name, "amelia! it's vinnie" mr mysterious called out and i sort of looked at him confused for a moment, and he shouted back "that's my name, vinnie hacker" and i smiled and turned back to nick who spun me as we danced with one another. we made it to the dance floor and i saw some familiar faces, it was bryce hall and josh richards they were 2 years above me. they came over to nick and i, "so lil stevens joined hype" and i nodded "well of course! the party house of ucla campus! you know me and my parties" i cheered and they shook there heads, josh exclaimed "nah sway house is definitely the party house, you coming tomorrow?" i took a sip of my alcoholic punch, "well duh!" and then bryce replied "well then you will see how sick the parties we throw are"
