📍vinnie's dorm and cafeteriavinnie hacker
"hey man, you ready for breakfast before class" anthony nudged me, and kio was waiting near the door. he broke my train of thoughts, "huh" i say confused, "man quit day dreaming i am a hungry med student" kio shouts aggressively. i gather my books and placed them in my bag following after the boys.
"what's on your mind man?" anthony prodded as we walk towards the campus cafeteria. "he's probably thinking about his interaction with your girlfriends best friend, amelia stevens" teased kio and i flipped him off and i see jack run over to catch up with us, "what did i miss?" and anthony cooed, "vinnie has the hots for amelia" vinnie shook his head and flipped them all off. "do not! she is just so friendly and nice" i admit and they all chuckle, "you guys barely spoke" jack retorted, "yeah but you can just tell" as i try shut them up. as we just finished talking about amelia, avani and amelia enter through the cafeteria doors. they made there way over to us, obviously for anthony. amelia was on her phone she was smiling down at it, wonder why. "hey guys" avani exclaimed, "how are you two still so alive after you two were completely fucked last night" kio asked the two scoffing down his breakfast, "you don't know these two, this is what they are good at partying" anthony responded.
i was quiet and too myself, amelia has not really said anything since sitting down at our table. i wonder who was keeping her so glued to her phone. i gave myself a little bit of a pep talk so i could talk to her and be the one to make the first move. "who's got you glued and smiling at your phone?" i tease as i nudge her. she finally breaks away her gaze, "oh no one! sorry we didn't get to speak much last night" she apologises changing the topic and turning her phone off. i sigh i mean she does not owe me a nothing but i felt dismissed, it shouldn't matter we are barely friends. "all good amelia, left not to long after" i reply which was not a lie i left maybe 10 minutes after our interaction, i got bored the boys were mingling or with their girlfriend and party scenes were not my thing. "why's that?" she asks eating her museli bar, "parties are not my thing really, went home to game" i admit and she nods. "well i better get to my first class and find some friends! it was nice to chat vin, can i call you that?" she asks cheerfully getting up from the bench and i nodded, she smiled as she left the cafeteria. she was distracted this morning, something was up, I turned my attention back to my group of friends and avani and dixie seemed to have joined as well, "what's up vinnie?" avani asked and i shook my head dismissing her question. "he's too busy daydreaming about your best friend" kio teased, "shut up man, she's not even my type she's so annoyingly nice and friendly and she's love to party" i replied in annoyance, i have no idea what got into me. avani's eyes widened, "says the one that spent the whole time speaking to her" avani commented, dixie also adds her two pieces "why's that a bad thing vinnie?" i did not know what to say, i just said replied like that to get kio off my case. "i don't know it's not, just trying to get kio off my dick" i replied as i pick up my tray and left for my classes.
jack caught up to me, "hey vinnie wait up" and i looked at him with a small smile. "sorry about that man" i apologised, "there's nothing to be sorry about, kio is just being stupid and he should mind his own business" jack agreed. "i don't know why i am so fascinated by her, she is completely different from me like in personality and interest" i explain and he laughed "you know what they say opposites attract" and i nodded. i never believed in that theory but could it be right. "let's just get to class, and maybe you could speak to her tonight at sways house party" and i nodded walking towards the class rooms.
