"so you taught her how to skate?" anthony asked writing his lecture notes, "basically" i respond starting my essay, "cute date idea, who's idea was it?" jack asked just on his phone. "she did, but i initated the second" i respond, and the boys perked up. "vinnie making the first move wow that's a first" kio laughed and i give him a glare, the boys laughed. "do you know if she likes you?" jordan asked and i don't know and i didn't expect her too we have only ever really spoken twice now. "not to be a bearer of bad news but i did hear from dixie that she was talking with nick austin and he is literally a walking flirt" noah intruded and i nodded, i mean we were just friends right now and she is not my property or anything but i do feel quite sad knowing this. "i mean we just met and we are getting to know one another, it's not like we are dating" i dismiss and the other guys nodded. jack and anthony looked at me understandingly, they knew it did hurt because i actually am making an effort to get to know her something i never usually do. "anyways noah, how are things with dixie" i pry and his face lit up, "we have been on a few dates since we first met at the sway party, and i think i am gonna ask her to be my girlfriend soon" he excitedly explains, "does she know about your intense soccer schedule?" and he nodded going on his phone probably to text dixie. how were things so easy for him, it just does not feel easy for me. given they are both pretty girls, why is it so hard for me, maybe it's because i am so much more reserved than that other guy she's talking to. i don't know much about him but that he's a flirt and he is a player and amelia does not deserve that. maybe that is her type but i distract myself with my essay.
bryce, josh and jaden walked into the boys lounge. the seniors of college and the main three leaders of sway house. they were nice and actually more genuine than most of the girls and campus know, they seem like such obnoxious frat party boys but once you get to know them they are the nicest guys. "sup boys" jaden greeted taking a seat next to jack and the others sat next to him on the couch, "what's everyone talking about?" and the guys look to me if they had permission to expose, however before they could come up with a lie, noah responded with 100 percent honesty, "vinnie's date with amelia stevens" and i glared at him and he almost immediately surrendered his arms. "little stevens, you have a crush on little stevens?" josh teased and was shocked, bryce looked at me "she's a good one vinnie look after her" and i nodded, "we aren't dating, we just hung out once" I explained and bryce nodded smiling. "anyways pretty sure he's got a thing with nick austin" kio added and the eyes of josh and bryce widened, "with him? he's not good for her. he's the biggest flirt and pretty sure he got with at least 7 girls before he found amelia at sway" jaden spat. the obvious distaste of nick austin was obvious in those three guys. not because he was in hype the opposing frat house because they actually were friends with a few hype house members.
on that note, i plug in my airpods and went back to work, not before i decided to text amelia.

i would never believe me if i told myself i made the first move. this was so not like me and she was so not my type. like she is pretty but she was polar opposite to me in character. i looked to anthony and jack, "don't tell anyone but i asked amelia out for dinner off campus" and they promised not to tell anyone and they patted me on my back.
