"i am so tired and i have cheer practice today" i groaned as i pack my gym bag with my cheer clothes in. "too busy flirting with vinnie and nick the whole night hey" avani teased and i flipped her off, "not flirting just getting to know them both" i justify and dixie laughs, "who's the front running man" and i got lost in my own thoughts, "well nick is nice and definitely more my type being outgoing and loves to party but he definitely is a player and a flirt. vinnie is such a nice guy and we actually had a good time outside and he is going to teach me how to skate but he's the total opposite of the guy i would usually go for he is shy and reserved" i explain and the girls nodded "sometimes new and opposite is good" and i agreed and bid them goodbye as i was not joining them in the cafeteria for breakfast as i had an early morning lab.
i enter the lab, everyone had a partner from what i can see. i see a pretty brunette in the corner by herself and i decided to make my way over there. "hey, is this seat taken?" i asked and she looked up from her phone and smiled, "no" and i placed my books on the table and took the seat beside her, "my names amelia, how bout you" i introduced, "nailea or you can call me nai" and i smiled, "i am so glad we can go through this course together" i say and she agreed. we spent the lab completing the lab work and also to get to know each other. she was from seattle, washington and was an only child and she was a fresher like me. we both found out we have every unit together and so spent the morning together attending our classes.
by now it was lunch time and i just received a text from my phone.

"do you wanna have lunch with my friends and i?" i asked nai, and she smiled and nodded. we made our way to the cafeteria. i see the gang, "hey guys this is nailea" and everyone introduced themselves and soon enough she was in conversation with avani and anthony. i sat next to vinnie, "hey vin" i say blushing a little, i don't know why my body is like this everytime i am anywhere near vinnie. "hey meli, how's today gone so far?" he asks as he eats his food, "not bad, couldn't have gotten through it without nai" i said, "you free this afternoon to go get your skateboard and stuff" he asked and i almost forgot, "down if you're down" and he smiled widely. "just you and me, don't tell the girls otherwise avani and the guys would wanna crash" vinnie instructed and i look to him with a cheeky smile, "you trying to say it's a date?" i tease and his cheeks flush, "well, if you want it to be?" he shyly responds, "you are so cute, of course vinnie! it's a date" i smile and he playfully nudges me, "a pretty girl like you is making me nervous, you are throwing me off my game stevens!" he laughs, "i try my best" as we both laugh together.
