Chapter 7- Hayden

" So Hayden why on earth would you chose dancing as a sport instead of oh- I- don't- know- boxing?"

When we got to Sapheria's house she headed straight for the shower and told me to to socialize with her father.

And boy was it awkward. He was like a private investigator who was digging up information on a criminal. Only I'm not a criminal, I'm just a kid.

For the last twenty mintues it was question and after question. Some were easy to answer but the one he just asked was by far the hardest.

I knew he was the boxing coach and I didn't want to say anything that would offend him.

What the heck was taking Sapheria so long!

" Well?"

" I-I-I-uh-uh-well."

" Okay I'm ready to go Hayden."

Finally! Thanks for saving me just in time!

I turned to look at Sapheria and my jaw litterally droped to the floor.

Wow was all I could say ( or think is more like it).

This is the first time I ever seen her in anything besides sweatpants and boy do I tell you she looked super hot in a tight blank tank top, black skinny jeans, black combat boots, a black leather band on each arm with them, and skull earings. Her dirty blond hair was pulled back into a wavy ponytail.

Wait did I just say hot? Snap out of it Hayden! Sapheria does not look hot! She just looks different! Plus you've seen hotter before! Can't think of any right now but...

" Uh Hayden," she snapped, " Quite staring at me! Its rude!"

Oh fiddle sticks!

I shook out of my day dream and apologized.

She snorted. " Sure you are. Dad we are going out!"

" Don't be to late Shappire! You got pratice in the moring!"

" Ya ya whatever dad. See you later."

Once we were outside I asked if she was going to get in trouble for back talking to her dad.

" Nah! He doesn't give a shit as long as I'm ready for a fight or practice."

It might of just been me but I could swear for a second I saw sadness in her eyes, as if that fact bothered her.

If it doesn't it honestly should. I know if my parents only wanted something to do with me because of dancing I would be extremely hurt. Parents are suppose to love you unconditionally no matter what.

" Hey can I ask you something,' I asked when we were on our way to wherever it is we are going.

" Well I can't stop you so go ahead."

I prayed to God that she doesn't get mad at me and just blurted it out, " If your dad wasn't a boxing coach would you of gone out for boxing?"

She stomped on her breaks and we came to a full stop in the middle of the road.

" What was that for," I furiously asked.

" What's with your lame question!" She was just as angry as I was. Maybe I shouldn't of asked her that.

" I was just wondering because I take it your father had a big influence on you becoming a boxer."

Saperia slapped me hard across the face and pressed on the accelorator.
