Liam kept his promise to be a gentleman. He did not even invade my side of the bed without asking first. It was about a week after my arrival the first nightmare woke him. My screams echoing on the walls sent him into a panic. That night, I asked him to hold me. The sound of his heart beating soothed me to sleep and became a nightly routine for us. To my surprise, the heat came and went without as much pain as I expected. I did, however, wake up in a pool of sweat, having shredded my clothes with my newly formed claws. My wolf recovered before my body did. Fueling my determination to grow stronger. Liam started asking questions about my nightmare. I am not sure what I said during the night, but he seems on edge when I wake up from them. He has insisted I train with his men. He said I needed more than strength to win against an alpha. We often spar in the arena. I work night and day to perfect my movements and control my shifts. The plan to attack the Immortals is set. In a few days’ time we will take down the slave trade. We have notified packs with missing members to be on standby to help with recovery and to help the victims find home. Liam insists we rest before the fight. The last training session is today. I told him not to hold back. I need to be sure I am ready.
