Chapter 38

They looked at Jack and then a boy stepped forward and he tossed me a sword and he said “I think that will be me.”

I caught the sword and I said “Fine by me.” I raised my sword and brought out his own sword. We circled each other and then I struck. I swung my sword. He jumped back and then he swung his own. I brought up my own and I blocked his swing. I swung my leg and then I spun and I swung my sword. He dodged my kick but my sword made a nice slash across his stomach. He grunted and he stumbled back. He jumped at me and rolled and swept me off of my feet. I fell backward and as I hit the ground he brought down his sword and stabbed me in the arm. I cried out and I brought up my knee and I kneed him in the stomach. He grunted and stumbled back. I swung my sword and I slashed him again in the stomach.  I got up and I used the butt of my sword and I smashed it into his head. He fell to the ground unconscious. I looked up and I saw the shock on the rest of the boy’s faces.

“So who will be as dumb to challenge me like Jacob was?” I shook my head and I blinked and I mumbled to myself “How did I know his name?”

Kishan smiled and he stepped forward and said “Well you have taken down two and you still have three left.”

I was tired but I refused to show it. A boy walked up and said “Well I think I will take that chance.”

He smiled and said “But I get to use my power and you have to fight me.”

I smiled and I took out my daggers and I said “Let’s dance.”

The man smiled and said “You ready princess?”

I frowned and I said “Whenever you are, Robin.” I blinked and I growled in frustration and I clutched my head. It felt as though it was about to explode. When the pain was gone I looked up and I held up my daggers and I looked up and I saw the boss standing a few feet away. “Now why are you trying to undo all of my hard work?” he raised his hand and my body erupted in pain. I cried out and I fell to the ground. It felt like my body was being squeezed.

The boss loomed over me and Kishan yelled “Get away from her! Haven’t you caused her enough pain as it is?”

the man looked over and said “Not until she is dead.”

His gaze shifted to the left and he smiled and said “Alex. How nice it is to see you alive.” He reached down and he grabbed my neck and held me in front of him. “What do you think of your replacement?” Alex frowned and said nothing.  Robin had out a crossbow and had it pointed toward us.

“Go ahead and shoot boy. If I’m lucky you’ll miss” Robin lowered his crossbow and I looked for Kishan and saw that he was on the ground unconscious as well as Jack and Jacob.

Alex looked at me and said “Remember Annie.” I blinked and I gasped as a whole bunch of memories rushed in. I heard a growl of anger behind me and then I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I gasped and I fell to the ground. Alex’s eyes widened and he ran at Adian with Robin at his side. Robin shifted into a tiger and tackled Adian. Alex knelt down beside me and took out the dagger. I cried out in pain as the blade ripped at my flesh. Alex put his hand to my side and my wound began to heal. When it was healed I heard a yelp and then I saw Robin crushed and pinned underneath a tree. Alex raised his sword but was blown backwards by and energy ball from Adian.

Adian walked over to me and he picked me up by my neck and he said to Alex “Say goodbye to your replacement Alex. For she will be dead by tomorrow night!”

Alex screamed “Annie!” Then we were gone.
