Chapter 22

The door opened and the man came in and said “Silent blade and Ron, Alex and Max, and then if Silent blade survives then she and Leo will be next. That’s all for today.”

“What that’s not fair! You can’t make her fight twice in one day!” yelled Leo.

The man shrugged and said “The boss tells me something and I listen, if you don’t like it then too bad. Now Silent blade and Ron it’s time to fight.”

I stood up and I went to the door and Ron did the same. Together we went to the gates and I was taken into the arena and Ron had to stay behind. I was attached to a metal plate on the ground and the man brought out a dagger and stood with his back to me and nodded. There was a bang and two sets of gates opened and Ron walked out and so did about five or eight men. Ron looked around and when he saw the men he brought out his axe and when he saw me he frowned and started to me but he was cut off by the eight men. The man in front of me turned around and he brought the dagger into my chest and twisted the dagger. An electrical shock went through my body and when the shock touched the metal plate below me my body erupted with flames. Now my body was on fire and I was being electrocuted. I cried out in pain.

“Silent blade!” Ron yelled.

I gritted my teeth and I yelled “Just kill the men and hurry!” he nodded and went back to the men.

The man in front of me smiled down at me and said so Ron could hear him “Hmm you know I don’t think you are in enough pain.” He brought out a dagger and begun to cut me all over. I cried out and the heat of the flames burned harder. My skin didn’t burn but it caused me great pain. The electrical dagger kept shaking my body. The man was about to stab me again when a strong force slammed into him. I looked up and I sae that the strong force was Ron. He had many cuts on his arms and that was it. He swung at the man. The man ducked and grabbed a dagger and he went after Ron. Ron ducked and dodged with ease.

He laughed. “You fight like a girl.” He swung and struck the man in the side. He cried out in pain. “Oh and you scream like one too.” Ron swung again and he had made contact with the man’s chest and the man fell to the ground.  Ron ran over to me and he used his axe to cut the bonds on me and took out the dagger.

My body stopped shaking and Ron rolled my body off of the plate and picked me up. “You ok?” I asked him.

He laughed and said “Just a couple of cuts. Are you ok?”

I smiled and nodded. “I told you. It is going to take more than a couple of battles to break me. Or kill me for that matter.”

He laughed and nodded “Consider me taught.” 

I began to feel feeling in mylegs. “You can put me down Ron. I can walk. I’m not dead.” He hesitated and then he put me down. I limped to the gates and stumbled into my cell.

The guy in my cell got up and said “You get some rest Silent blade. You need your rest for tonight.” Then he and another boy went out together.

Then the door slammed shut and I said to Ron “Thanks for saving me Ron.” He smiled and said “Hey no problem. Now get some rest.” I nodded and I closed my eyes.
