"How you feeling, baby girl?" my daddy asked as were making our way down the escalator. I was excited yet afraid. Happy to see my friends and family but frightened by all the memories I tried burying behind me when I first left.

"I'm cool, daddy."

I had nightmares every night for 2 weeks straight but it got better. I don't really have them anymore. I try not to think about any of it. I can't help but think about Nico, though. How could she--

"AAAHHHHHHHH!! THERE SHE GOES!!" I heard soemone screaming loudly. I took my sunglasses off as we stepped off the escalator. Sammy came running towards me!

I smiled hard as she embraced me tightly. She looked pretty as always. I hugged her so tight. A began to cry as I let all my luggage go to hold onto her. Most of my tears were of joy but also of sadness. I didn't know what I would've done if I hadn't been found. If I wouldn't have seen my big sis face again. I was grateful.

I couldn't wait to thank Kamani and her partners. Although I have already over the phone, I wanted to do so in person. Plus, I miss everyone. Even Sydnei.

"Hey daddy!" Sammy let me go and hugged our father. We did a group hug and finally got ready to go.

"You look beautiful." she smiled big at me. I returned the pleasant smile and said thanks.

"So, I was planning on hitting up the beach. You down to go?" she asked once we were inside of the car.

"Yes! We out." I giggled and off we went.

It's a good thing I had my bathing suit on. Once we got to the beach, Sammy and I hopped out of the car while daddy took the car back home with him. That was kind of weird cause my daddy loved the beach. Wonder what he's got up.

"Just call me when you girls are on your way back." he said.

Sammy linked her arm with me and we pranced in the sand making our way to the water. It was beautiful out. I felt good about being home but I was still really nervous. I tried shaking it off but it still crept on me.

Whatever, just relax Leilanee.

7:30 p.m.

"You ready to go?" Sammy asked.

I nodded and smiling. I needed this time with my big sister. She made everything feel just right. I mean, she's my idol. My role model. I look up to her because she's dome nothing but provide me with all the love in the world.

"Yeah let's go. I'm starving." I giggled.

We pulled up to the house and got out. It was really dark inside but I ignored it. Sammy unlocked the door and let me walk in first.

As soon as I walked in, lights came on and a crowd of people yelled "welcome home!!" It startled me but I shut my eyes and smiled. I felt warm arms around me.

Everyone was here. Sammy, my dad, Syd and Kamani, Amber and Soph, and my other family members. The whole house was covered with balloons and pictures of me. I felt so happy. I knew that I was safe with these people in my life.

I tried wiping my eyes as I gave everybody hugs but it wasn't working. During every hug, years ran fown my face. Once I reached Sydnei, she held me tight.

"I'm glad you're ok, babe." she whispered and kissed my cheek. I just broke down and hugged her even tighter. I was more than grateful to be alive.

"Thank you." I said and we parted.

My dad walked up and smiled big. I knew he was in on something. He always came to the beach with us but I knew it had to be something.

"Welcome home baby girl. Come here and give me a hug." he held out his big hands.

I made a pouty face and giggled as he embraced me. Sammy rubbed my back and music started playing. Me and my dad rocked back and forth while everyone else danced and talked.

I needed this. This comfort. It wasn't a lot but it was all I needed. My friends and family. They'd help me get through this. I just knew they had my back.
