Backstory: you're Y/n L/n, an avenger. Now you don't really have any powers or something special but neither or less you were still very smart and very skilled in the field. You and all the Avengers always fought together, you always got along well. But there was someone who didn't, Loki Friggason. After all the chaos he has caused he was forced to either go to prison for life or stay by his brother's side. So he obviously took the second offer, he still had to spend countless nights in their prison but after he finally sort of gained their trust they let him out. Not completely though, he wasn't allowed to go on all the missions with them or even leave the tower and of course they didn't hang out with him either except sometimes Thor would try but Loki didn't want his pity. While you on the other hand treated him a bit differently. You read a lot about him, heard tons of things about him of course but when you met him, you didn't really see the monster that the others saw. You always saw him as more of a lost boy who made a few mistakes, made some bad decisions but that dosen't make him a monster. No one was born good or evil either it's what their made into be. All he needed was someone to help him make the right decision, stay by his side, someone he could rely on so you decided to try to be that person. You visited him a lot in the dungeons, reading a book to him, bringing him some actual food, spending all night talking about both of your lives the good and the bad. At first he didn't really like it when you visited him..or at least he said he didn't like it even though he actually started loving your company. It took some time for him to be comfortable with you but it worked. After he got out of the dungeons he still didn't really care about the others while he mostly spent his days with you. You have to admit you did have a lot of fun with him and you felt comfortable and strangely felt sort of..safe with him. After finally gaining some more trust they let him go on missions with them but someone always had to keep an eye on him. Throughout all this you both always fought together often, he sometimes would try to teach you magic, read to you, sparring with each other was of course daily, you would sometimes help him calm down from his breakdowns as he'd do the same. But within the process of it all you realised your feelings about how you truly felt about him. As you spent more and more time with him the more your heart fell for him. You wanted to be more than just his friend, but you never told him. You knew that he actually did trust you and he was always there for you but at the same time he's still a god and your still just a human. Sure he was nice to you but what if he didn't feel the same? That friendship was too much for you to lose so you kept hiding your feelings every single day. You did write a letter about how you felt about him and basically wrote down how you wanted to admit it to him and that note was always carried in your pocket, in your notebook, in your wallet, under the pillow but never given to him.

Presently: Thanos took Thor hostage, demanding the tesseract. You stood there in the back being held by his guards as Loki stepped up in front of him.

Loki: you know if your going to earth, you might need a guide. I have bit of experience in that Arena.
Thanos: if you consider failure experience.
Loki: I consider experience, experience.

Loki: almighty Thanos, I Loki, prince of Asgard, Odinson, god of mischief, the rightful king of Jotunheim, do hereby pledge to you my undying fidelity.
*he says to Thanos as a dagger appears in his hands using his magic. After a second before kneeling he takes the dagger up to Thanos's face but fails to keep steady*
Thanos: undying? You should choose your words more carefully.
*Thanos says as throwing the dagger out of his hands and lifting him up by his neck*

*he starts to struggle as he's starting to choke and run out of breath*

Y/n: OK, OK, JUST STOP! *you scream to Thanos trying to use as much of your voice as you could, since all your energy is drained out of you*

*Thanos still dosen't let go of Loki but stops chocking him and looks at you. The guards let's you go as you step in front*

Y/n: let him go. Just kill me instead, please.
*Loki looks at you while still struggling with disagreement and fear in his eyes*

*Thanos drops Loki to the ground and comes in front of you with a sword that was on the ground from before*
Loki: NO! Please d-don't. Just kill me don't..don't listen to her
*he says struggling*

Thanos: no more changes this time.
*he says as he pushed the sword right into you. You gasped from the pain and fell on the ground you could hear both Loki and Thor screaming. Thanos pulls the sword out of you only to stab you once again, you winced in pain as you felt the sharp pain. Everything started to get more and more blurry and dark every second, you practically couldn't move at all but you felt Loki come closer to you*

Loki's POV:

*I pick up her fragile body on my lap, her blood was flowing out like a river*
Loki: Y/n, Y/n please no-this I-I can't lose you. Please don't leave me.
Y/n: Loki I...I love y- *before she could barely finish her sentence she loses her conciseness*
Loki: no Y/n...I need you please. This can't happen i can't lose you not like this...please. *I said while cradling her limp body in my arms, my face now covered with tears, blood and sweat*
Now finally realising how much it hurts to lose her, how much cold it feels without her just even for a second, I was in love with her within the first 30 minutes I spent with her but I never told her how I felt because I was scared if she didn't feel the same but she did. But it's too late now isn't it?
