AN:thank you for reading 'A Journey Through Time' I plan to take a short break of a week weeks before I write the third part of this story but I do have more to write so here is a teaser of what will come.

Merlin's pov

I was sitting at the coast three months after the departure of Eleanor from his side. The months had felt long as he help Arthur with his dumb plan to go to Diametral past the Harvart territory to get to a old book that has been said to be able to tell the future. Of course the mission was pointless and the book proved to be a fraud but Arthur just had to find out the truth, not to mention that he almost got killed by the Harvarts but thanks to me, we got out of there.

After the excursion, I came back to Camelot as quickly as I could get the depressed Arthur back on to the horse and headed home. Not that it took as long as I had anticipated since I had put the downtrodden Arthur on to the horse and lead it home. The trip to longer than it would have if he would have been actively riding but since he wasn't I had to go home at a walking pace.

Even though it took longer than I had planned I still made it home quickly since Arthur was to out of it to notice my use of magic on the horse to keep him on top of the best a we trotted instead of going at a slow walk to keep him on the animal. The second I got there I told Arthur that he would have to endure life for a while without me and that I had urgent private business to attend to. Needless to say that he was not happy with the situation before him but I gave him no choice as I immediately packed my bags and left the very big we had arrived. I changed horses and ran as fast as the horse would allow to the coast, I only had one though on my mind... Eleanor.

I needed to tell her what I learned, what I knew, what I wanted for the future.

Once I reached the coast I pulled out a ribbon that she used to wear in her hair, she had left it for me on her bed. the simple act of kindness was enough to make my heart swell as I looked at the ribbon on the bed and picked it gingerly up, her scent was on the ribbon. I had pocketed it knowing that It would be a good keepsake of hers. looking down at it now I realized another use for it, closing my eyes I muttered the words of a tracking spell. The ribbon flinched in my hands before me before it began pulling towards the north.

The north I thought... Wasn't the colony that they ship headed to located south in Africa? My thoughts spun as I thought of different possibilities of negative thing happening to the ship and the reason for the change in direction from the original goal. I wasn't sure why but I knew the reasoning couldn't be a good one.
