Recap: "From Arthur." She answered.
"What? What do you mean? Blasine said something similar about Arthur not being what he seemed?" I said pushing her now for information.
Not that it took much Morgan le Fay was happy to have someone to talk about it with. "Arthur was sleeping with Blasine, and probably Anne before she left. Now that she is gone he has decided that I would be Blasine's replacement."
I sat there dumbfounded at what she was saying. It couldn't be they are half siblings, they all share the same mother. I was immediately sickened by the thought and I felt nauseous at the thought of what the siblings had been getting up to. I wonder if it was forced for all of them. Clearly Morgan le Fay doesn't want to be in this kind of relationship but was Blasine and Anne happy? I shook my head, I doubt it. Blasine slept with me to get back at Artur, to hurt him. She definitely wasn't happy with the arrangement of having to sleep with him.
"It's ok." I finally said as I pulled my thoughts together. "It's ok, you can come down here anytime you wish to escape Arthur and maybe if you aren't in your room as much he will have less chances to try and take you." I tried to sooth her but I knew my words did little help. Arthur was the Prince and Uther was sick which meant his word was law. I didn't know if her staying with me would actually help her but I had to say something so she would calm down. I really wanted to talk to Alden about it and find out what should be done about it.
I decided to distract her until Alden or Merlin came back and I could explain the situation. Morgan le Fay was crying again and I decided to pet her hair and try to sooth her. So I did something that would make me feel a bit better, I sang.
"Pearls and swine bereft of me.
Long and weary my road has been.
I was lost in the cities, alone in the hills.
No sorrow or pity for leaving, I feel, yeah.I am not your rolling wheels - I am the highway.
I am not your carpet ride - I am the sky.Friends and liars don't wait for me,
'Cause I'll get on all by myself.
I put millions of miles under my heels;
And still too close to you, I feel, yeah.I am not your rolling wheels - I am the highway.
I am not your carpet ride - I am the sky.I am not your blowing wind - I am the lightning.
I am not your autumn moon - I am the night... the night.Yeah!
I am not your rolling wheels - I am the highway.
I am not your carpet ride - I am the sky.Well,
I am not your blowing wind - I am the lightning.
I am not your autumn moon - I am the night... the night.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah."As I was finishing singing I heard footsteps coming down the hallway so I propped the sleeping Morgan le Fay against the wall and went to see who it was. I was happy to find that it was Alden who was coming back from seeing King Uther. I stopped him in the hallway, "how is the King?"
"I think he will recover now that we now what to do to treat him. Why are you out here coming to see me in the hallway." Alden said.
"I need your help with something. Morgan le Fay is in there and she is upset."
"What's wrong?"
I told Alden everything that Morgan le Fay told me and everything that I have left out about Arthur's interactions with me.
"I see. This is bad. My suspicions are correct this is terrible." Alden said
We both sat in silence until finally Alden said, "well we will deal with one thing at a time, first off is Morgan le Fay."
We entered into the room and Alden smiled as he noticed Morgan le Fay was soundly sleeping, he put his fingers to his lips gesturing me to be quite as he set his work down and started acting like Morgan le Fay wasn't there. Alden went about his normal routine of mixing herbs and putti up all of his work from this morning and made it to were he only had the stuff out for whatever he was making now. I decided to cook dinner since Merlin would be back soon and expect some food. Not to mention I'm sure after a long day of work and carrying me around he will be hungry.
I got the ingredients together that were available on the table to see what I could make. I had 3 eggs, carrots, some ham, lettuce, tomatoes, rice, broth, flour, and some chicken. I decided to set the ham and eggs aside and make a make shift chicken pot pie. I got to work on making the dough while Alden helped by chopping the veggies and meat for me and adding it to the pot so it could get cooked before I added it all together.
The dough took the longest to make but once it was done I added the mixture of veggies and meat and set it on top of the fire in the fireplace with the clay over it in a make shift oven. When I was done Morgan le Fay was starting to wake up as Merlin was coming in to the room.
"Where am I?" Morgan le Fay asked.
"You in our chambers, your safe here my dear and I just got finished making dinner and we were hoping that you would join us." I said kindly as I watched her take in her surrounding for the first time since I brought her down here.
"No. Thank you though. But I have to go upstairs I won't let him touch my sister." She said and got up and left.
I was stunned and couldn't say anything as I watched her go. "What happened?" Merlin asked after she had left the room.
"Alden will you explain, I'm going to see that she gets back without trouble." I say pulling myself together and leaving the room.
I hear as I walk down the hallway Alden answer me saying of course. I walked swiftly throat the castle till I caught up to her. But I didn't walk beside her or even let her know that I was following her. I just followed to make sure that Arthur wouldn't harass her, she has been through enough today and I wanted to prevent that.
Thankfully she got back to her room without a hitch so I turned around and headed back to get so dinner. I walked quickly and quietly down the hall but I was stopped by someone I never expected to meet there.
"Why are you with my sister?" Morgawse asked from the doorway of her chambers.
"I found her crying in the hallway. I gave her and arm to lean on a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to her." I answered.
"I see, you plan on having her sent away next." She said with a snarl.
"You don't know anything about me." I said taking a step toward her. "Besides I'm not the enemy here and I think you need to look around because your sister is protecting you from the real problem and I can tell you that it isn't me." With that I turned from Morgawse and left the corridor and went back down stairs.
When I got back I found food on the table and ready and Merlin filled in on today's excursions. I decided to tell them what happened with Morgawse on the corridor.
We decided since it was late that we would talk about this more in the morning but for now we would go to sleep. Slipping off into my room I was happy for the relief that sleep would provide for me. I was starting to feel exhausted again like when I was in the forest with Merlin. This train of though got me thinking about how Merlin carried me back and sleeping with his scent around me. It reminded me of the first night I slept in the castle and slept with Merlin's scent on the bed around me. It was comfortable.
