I felt helpless as I aimless searched for Balor. It had been at least 6 hours since I left the camp and I knew that if Jamie and Merlin hadn't noticed that I was gone yet that it wouldn't be long until they did. My time was running out at most I had about 4 more hours until. I shook my head, I don't have time to worry about the reaction of those two. Instead I need to focus on the task at hand and preventing this ignorant fight from taking place. I know that even though Jamie said he's going to talk to Balor, I also know that Balor isn't the time to listen when he has the upper hand and right now his army has the upper hand. If he wanted us to be wiped out he could at this point easily or just wait until we are all dead and pick through the bodies for whatever he wants.
I had stopped looking but I was moving. That is until someone grabbed me from behind and I heard a sickening voice coming from behind me.
"So here is where the Queen has been hiding."
I sighed, "Balor, I've been looking for you."
I heard a deep laugh from the back of his throat as he turned me around and looked at my face. Balor was 6' 4" huge man who while he wasn't unattractive wasn't good looking either. He had dark black hair that was frizzy and wild, his beard was long and just as wild, his dark brown eyes were handsome in there own way but something behind his eyes made me uncomfortable. He always had the same look on his face like a predator waiting to kill anyone or anything.
It only makes since because of the land he come from, Balor comes from Hydro a land where all the men fight for their place, Once you are unable to fight or unable to defend your position you become easy pickings for the others trying to take your place. Hydro reminded me of the necromancers from the movie 'The Chronicles of Riddick', "You keep what you kill."
I looked at Balor the leader, a man feared by many and loved by few. Balor was fearsome indeed but I refused to let him see that he intimidated me.
His deep voice rolled out again after he got done looking me over a couple of times, "So little Queen, why have you come this far when you look so weary and your people are in such a predicament as this. You must need to see me in a crazy kind of urgency. Do you need some tender loving?" he said with a smile and his hand moving down to my ass.
I pushed his hand away. "No! I am here to talk about how you created this disease and I want to know what you want from us by doing this?"
He laughed, "Is that all? I have one of the things I wanted in my arms right now." Now it was my turn to snort but Balor ignored it an continued, "The other was the death of your king,Is that why you are here because King Jamie is dead and your pleading for the lives f your people? I will be merciful if my queen asks me to be." He smiled at this last statement like he was really impressed with himself.
I pushed away from him and Balor let me go, "Your King isn't dead then and you are here without him knowing." He said his smile getting wider.
"I do know where she is!" I heard Jamie call out from the north of me.
"If you think we would let her out of our sight then you are sorely mistaken." Merlin added following behind Jamie.
"Who are you?" Balor asked his face dropped at seeing Jamie but morphed into confusion at the sight of Merlin.
"I am Merlin, Eleanor come to us." Merlin answered and I moved towards them but was held back by Balor who was holding my upper arm.
"I don't think think so." Balor said
"Then you leave me with no choice, but then again I came for this in the first place," Jamie said drawing is sword from his hilt and pointing it at Balor.
"Then I shall grant your wish." Balor answered pulling me behind him like I was going to stay there as he and Jamie started circling each other waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
Merlin moved towards me and whispers, "The sorceress is close, you stay here and watch this match and cheer on Jamie and I'll go take care of her."
"I'll help." I said and stopped Merlin like I was going to go with him but I was quickly told otherwise.
"If you come with me then Jamie will be distracted worrying about where you are, let him give his full attention to the fight by showing yourself in constant safety as well as cheering for him." Merlin says.
I look down knowing what he's saying to be the truth. I guess being here is the best plan to move forward so I nod. I hate feeling like I'm not being helpful but at the same time I want Jamie to win, over all other wishes, I want Jamie to kill the man who caused the death of my son. Fire burned inside of me as I thought about this detail that I had been pushing out of my mind.
