Woah, she was so pretty. Gemma Williams, that's what she said her name was. I hope Pansy was still in the common room, I needed her expertise at the moment. Pansy Parkinson was good for one thing-gossip. She would know more about Gemma.

I kept thinking about Gemma as I walked up the staircase to the Slytherin common room. Finally, I came to the portrait of Sir Cadogan on his black horse. He saw me and asked, "what's the password?" He looked bored. "Pure-Blood." I whispered as he open the door. When I walked in I saw Pansy walking up to the girl's dormitory. "Pansy!" I called, beckoning for her to come over to me. I walked over to the green sofa and sat down as she bounced over to me. Ugh, I hated this girl with a passion.

"Did you need help with something Malfoy?" She sat down a bit too close for my liking. Discreetly, I scooted over a bit, so I could face her. "Yeah, as a matter of fact I do."
I didn't even have to use my charm to get her to tell me anything. "What do you know about Gemma Williams." I asked her. When she heard Gemma's name, her face lit up. "Hmmm...she's in Ravenclaw, she's a pure-blood, and her best friend is," she snickered "Loony Lovegood. Oh! And her dad was an Auror."
"Was?" I asked, "is he retired?" She rolled her eyes. "You could say that he is retired, but he's actually...dead." I saw a flash of sincerity in her eyes, but she covered it up with a laugh. "He died when she was five, a dark wizard he was trying to catch got the best of him. And used one of the unforgivable curses."

"Thanks Pansy." I started towards the boys dormitory. "Wait! Why did you want to know about her?" Was that...jealousy I saw? "Um, no reason, I just bumped into her." She made a pouty face. "Anyway, I'm off to bed, night." I ran up the stairs, not wanting to talk to Pansy anymore. Great now I have to restart avoiding her all over again. But the information she gave was useful. I think I might try to talk to Gemma tomorrow in Potions.
