A HOGWARTS STORY

Chapter 6

Yay it was Friday finally. Just as I was changing into my robes I remembered my encounter with Malfoy. "What's up with you?" Luna asked, behind me. "Oh, nothing." I said grinning.
"WHAT??" Luna asked excitedly. I couldn't stop smiling as I said, "I...erm had a run in with Draco Malfoy last night." Luna's eyes bulged. "Oh Gemma! You have to tell me everything!" She exclaimed as I pulled my robes over my head. "Okay, okay!" She was now pulling me to the Great Hall. "Tell meeee." Luna pleaded shaking my arm.

I told her everything while we both ate vanilla pudding, with bits of dried fruit in it. "Wow." Luna said after I had finished my story. "Sounds like he might like you." I bit my lip. "Do you think so?" I asked taking a sip of Pumpkin Juice. "Yes, I do. Anyway, we should get going to Potions. Snape won't forgive us if we are late." Everyone was leaving to go to their first class, so it was a bit crowded.

Eventually we reached Snape's class and sat down just as the bell rang. "As I mentioned yesterday, you are getting new seats." All the kids shuffled to the front of the room. "In the first two desks: Lovegood and Granger." Luna and Hermione sat down next to each other and took out their potions books and started reading them. "The next desks: Goyle and Thomas." Goyle had a far off distant look in his eyes, almost like he couldn't comprehend what was happening. Which he probably couldn't. And Dean Thomas didn't look to happy to be sitting by a slytherin. "Next is miss Patil, sitting by...Potter." Snape sneered at Harry Potter as he sat down by Pavarti Patil. "And in the seats next to Patil and Potter, will be Malfoy and Williams." My heart skipped a beat when I heard who I was going to be sitting by. I was so nervous when I sat down, I had no idea what to do. After a couple of seconds I heard him speak. "Hey Gemma." He said watching me intently. "Oh, um hey D-Draco." wow smooth Gemma, I said to myself. He smiled. "So, um, are you planning anything for the ah weekend?" My heart started beating like crazy, was Draco Malfoy asking me out? "Oh, um, Luna and I are going to go to Hogsmeade on Saturday. But I'm free tonight." His eyes lit up. "Where do you want to hang out?" He asked. "Um, meet me at eight at the Ravenclaw tower tonight." I said as the bell rang. We both gathered our books and stood up. "Okay, so it's a date then." He looked at me half-smirking. "Well, I mean, not like a date, date. But only if you want it to be a date." I rambled. He laughed as my face went red. "Okay, it's a date." He confirmed as he turned to leave.

After he left, Luna came over and grabbed my wrists. "Tell me everything." I laughed as we started to leave. "Fine." I said I launched into yet another story about Draco Malfoy.
