My hair would definitely not work with me. Sighing I put down the curlers as I got as idea. I forgot all about Sleekeasy's hair potion in my trunk. I pointed my wand at my brown trunk. "Accio hair potion." As I said the spell, a small green label-clad bottle threw itself at me. I caught it right before it hit the ground. Pouring the contents into my hand, the greenish-brown liquid moved up in the air, then settled into my black hair. Smoothing it down, and making it easier to work with. An hour and a half later, my hair was close to perfect. Now, what to wear? Oh no! What if I wear something other than my robes, and Draco wears his robes? We both would feel uncomfortable and awkward the whole date! Argg! What should I do?
Finally, I decided to wear the underpart of my robes. It consisted of a black vest over my white button up shirt. Under it was my blue and bronze tie. I also had my gray pleated knee-length skirt. Okay, it's a fairly neutral outfit, and it will look okay if Draco wears his robes. I took a deep breath. Five minutes to eight. Should I walk down now? Or will it seem desperate if I'm there early? Conclusively, I decided to head to Ravenclaw tower two minutes before eight. Pacing for the other three minutes, I finally started walking. I caught sight of Draco walking towards me. My heart immediately started beating fast. "Woah, Gemma. You look...really pretty." He said smiling. "Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself." Huh, I was surprised at my own confidence. Weird.
"So, what do you want to do?" He asked, still smiling. I couldn't believe I was out with Draco Malfoy. GOING OUT WITH DRACO MALFOY! My head was spinning from contained excitement. "Um, I don't care what we do, as long as it doesn't involve studying." I crinkled my nose. "Okay," he said laughing. "Do you want to walk around the grounds?"
"Um, sure. That sounds great." The butterflies seriously felt like they were each, individually going to explode. There was a couple other people walking the grounds. Hogwarts was pretty lenient about the curfew on the weekends. Midnight, I think the curfew is.
"So what potions are you writing about for the essay in Snape's class?" Draco asked. "Felix Felicis, Beautification Potion, and..." I started uncontrollably blushing. "the effects of amortentia." His head snapped up when he heard "amortentia". He chuckled, "ah, love potion." I smiled, embarrassed. "Uh, yah. I-I just think the effects of the love potion are interesting." We were now in the courtyard and sitting on a stone bench. "Like how?" He asked, apparently intrigued. "Well, I mean, it puts the victim of the potion in a complete trance. Pretty much obsession. But uh, I'd you know, never ever use it. "Gemma, you wouldn't have to use amortentia to get someone to fall in love with you." He leaned in and softly kissed my lips. I froze. But then I felt comfortable enough to kiss him back. It lasted about thirty seconds and then he pulled away. "We should probably get back." He said standing up and holding out his hand for me to take. I didn't stop holding his hand until we were back at Ravenclaw tower. "So...so does this mean we're you know...together?" I asked. He looked unsure. Oh no, what if I spooked him, and now he doesn't want to see me? "I would be lucky to have you as my girlfriend...so yeah. I guess that does mean we're together. Well I mean if you want to be together-" I kissed him suddenly, surprised at myself. "I do want to be with you." He smiled. I started towards the staircase. "Bye Gem." He said. "Bye Draco." I said turning away and walking towards the common room.
