A HOGWARTS STORY

Chapter 18

The train ride from Hogwarts was fun. Astoria, Luna and I shared a compartment. We played a muggle game called Two Truths and A Lie. And we also played a game called Would You Rather. There was about two more hours until we arrived at Kings Cross Station, and we all fell asleep in the compartment.

Two hours later my mum met us at the station. We were all still sleepy and barely waking up.
"Took you long enough!" My mum said in her Scottish accent. "Mum, this is Astoria, and you already know Luna." I said nodding towards Astoria and Luna. "Of course I know Luna." She hugged Luna and smiled. "How are you?" Mum asked.
"I'm doing well, thanks." Luna answered, smiling, and showing her white teeth.

"And you're Astoria?" Mum asked Astoria. Before Astoria could say anything my mum walked over and hugged her too.
"My name is Rossalyn." Mum said pulling away from Astoria.
"Okay kids, I'm going to apparate us home to drop off your bags, then we'll go to a muggle store to look for some Yule Ball dresses!" My mum clapped her hands. Okay hold onto my arms and we'll be home in one second.
We each grabbed my mum's arm. Astoria and I grabbed her right arm, and Luna grabbed her left arm. I was used to apparating, because my mum always apparated us everywhere.

There was a sudden sound of wind, and it felt like my skin was being stretched in multiple ways. But we finally got back to our house...er I should say mansion. I could tell that it was the first time for Luna and Astoria. They were gasping for air and had their hands on their knees, bending over. "Is everyone alright?" My mum's mothering instinct always kicked in when she apparated other kids. "I'm...okay..." Luna said between dizzy breaths. "Me...too..." Astoria answered as she sat on the grass. "Okay, I'm going to put your trunks in the house, then we'll go to get dresses." Mum picked up me and Luna's trunk. "Astoria, is that all you brought? That tiny black bag?" She said pointing at Astoria's sequined black bag.

"Un...detectable Expanding...Charm." She was still breathing hard and grabbing her sides. "Oh, say no more. I understand." Mum said as she grabbed everything and walked inside.

Five minutes later, both girls had caught their breath again, and were standing up straight. My mum returned and told everyone to grab her arms again.

Luna and Astoria looked at my mum like she said something offensive. "Aha! Just kidding!" She said laughing. "No, we'll take the car." Mum led all of us to our sleek black Chevy Impala. "Let's go pick out those dresses."
