Draco and I left the Yule Ball at about 1:50 AM. I had kicked off my high heels hours ago, but my feet were still killing me. I don't have very much experience wearing shoes that aren't my black converse. The band that was playing was pretty awesome, and I had fun rocking out, but I was definitely sleepy.

We were all alone in the corridor now. I could still hear the music playing loudly from the Great Hall.
Draco was quiet for a moment, but then he turned towards me. "I forgot to give you your Christmas present!" He smacked his forehead. "Huh." I breathed. "Well, you didn't have to get me anyth--"
"Yah...I did." He whispered in my ear, giving me goosebumps. "Come on let's go to the Slytherin common room."
He took my hand as we half-walked, half-ran to the common room. "Woah." I had never been to any of the other common rooms, except Ravenclaw.

"Just wait here, I'll be right out." He kissed my neck softly, then he whispered something incoherent to the painting and it let him inside the common room.
As he went inside I saw a glimpse of the Slytherin common room. There was deep emerald and silver furniture next to a roaring fire.

The man guarding the common room closed the picture frame when he saw me looking through.
"You aren't a Slytherin." He had a slight Irish accent. "No, I'm a Ravenclaw, but my boyfriend is in Slytherin. " I corrected him.

"Well, my name is Sir Cadogan. At your service." He bowed very low. He had on silver armor from head to toe.
"Hello Sir, my name is Gemma Williams. Also at your service. " I returned the bow, and he looked very pleased as he smiled, showing a set of beautiful white teeth.

Just then Draco walked out of the portrait. "I'm back!" He exclaimed with a laugh, holding up a sleek black case with a bright red bow around it. I laughed too as I slipped my arms around his neck and gave him a kiss.

"Well, you kids have fun. " Sir Cadogan said, winking as he slid out of the picture and into a different one. This time we both laughed, before Draco pressed against me, and kissed me again.

Two minutes after it started to get good, we heard a small gasp. I pulled away from Draco suddenly, not knowing who it was.

A very angry Pansy Parkinson was fuming, standing in the corridor with folded arms. "Hello, Gemma." She spit out my name like it was poison. Draco put part of his body in front of me as if to shield me from Pansy.

"Hi Pansy!" I said brightly, surprising her. "How's your back? I heard that you got thrown while dueling." I smirked at her. Draco turned around, astonished. "You might be more Slytherin than Ravenclaw after all!" He leaned in for another kiss.
Pansy gritted her teeth as she pushed in between us. "Get a room." She growled.
"Actually, I think we will. Thanks Pansy." I said smiling at her. She rolled her eyes and muttered something indistinct.
Draco put his arm around my waist and we started walking towards the Ravenclaw common room.

About seven minutes after walking, we were in Ravenclaw tower. Draco handed me the black box he had been carrying.
I bit my lip as took my time opening it. Finally, I lifted the black lid and gasped. "Oh, Draco! It's beautiful!" I hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek.

In the black case was the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. It was a snake covered in diamonds, and it was holding an emerald gem in it's mouth. I was completely breathless.

"I hope you like it. When I saw it, I thought of you and that night we bumped into each other. Because of your emerald pajamas." He smiled as pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. This was the side of Draco that I love.

"Ready for your present?" I asked sniffing. "Are you--are you crying?" He asked tentatively, brushing a piece of hair out of my face. "Yeah!" I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand, and laughed.

I told him to stay put as I walked through the portrait into the common room. "Accio present." I said pointing my wand towards the girl's dorm. Three seconds later, a present wrapped in gold and silver wrapping paper tumbled into my arms. I got Draco a cloak. It was deep emerald, and the inside was silk, and the outside was a soft fur-like material. I was nervous. What if he didn't like it?

I returned to where Draco was patiently waiting for me, and handed him his present. He eagerly opened it and held up the cloak. "This is..." He hesitated.

Oh no! I think he hated it! "This is...brilliant!" He exclaimed happily. I let out a breath I had been holding as he put his arms around my waist and kissed me. Long.

Finally, he pulled away. "I love you Gem. Goodnight."
"I love you too! Goodnight." I said as I stood on my tip toes and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
