"Ochako," a brown-haired man patted his daughter on the head. They sat on their balcony while the child's mother cooked dinner in the kitchen inside. "What's wrong?"

"Daddy, why don't the kids at school get me anything?" She asked her father, looking down at the frost-coated grass sorrowfully. She thought of earlier that day, where she sat at her desk alone when all the other kids in her class passed out candy to each other. "Does... does no one like me?"

"It's okay, Ochako," he wrapped his arm around her. "You're beautiful, kind, and smart. Don't let anyone," he turned her head to look at his. Tapping her nose with his finger, he continued, "tell you otherwise. Especially those kids at school."

Ochako sniffed, using her gloved hand to wipe her tears away. "Thanks, daddy."

"You're welcome, ochako-chan." They sat there until Mrs. Uraraka announced that dinner was ready. "C'mon, let's go eat".

"Ochaaaaaaaakoooooooo!"

The brunette was shaken out of her thoughts. Literally. Mina had grabbed her shoulders and started to shake them back and forth.

"Whaaaaaaaaaat, Mina?" She replied, slightly dizzy from her pink friend's assault.

"Valentine's Day is coming," Mina giggled, rolling onto the couch cushion next to her, now sitting upside down.

"And?" Ochako brought her plastic cup to her lips to take a sip of water.

"What are you getting Midori?" and just like that, the water came out of her mouth.

"W-where did you get that?" She sputtered, waving her arms in front of her face in an attempt to hide (or show, who knows, really) how flustered she was.

"Isn't it obvious how much you like him?" Mina stretched her arms out, smacking Ochako's knee in the process.

"No..." she rubbed her face, trying to rid herself of the heat that rushed through her face. She knew how she felt about Deku but decided to push it away. Now that Mina has brought it up again, it has her thinking.

Do I want to keep doing this? What if he moves on before I can tell him? What if he doesn't want anything I can get him?

"What if I don't have the money?" she whispered.

"What?" Mina asked, flipping herself back upright. "Ochako, you don't need to have money to show someone you love them on Valentine's Day."

"But what about-" Ochako started, but the pink girl threw her arm around her shoulder.

"Listen, Ochako," Her extraterrestrial-like eyes had a serious glint in them, and said straight-faced. "You don't need money to show someone you like them. Sure, you can, but I'm pretty sure whoever you like," Mina snickered teasingly and Ochako groaned. "Likes you back."

"Thanks, Mina," Ochako leaned back into the couch, her mind filling with the dark green hair of her crush filling her mind. She envisioned herself caressing his freckle-ridden cheeks, as he stuttered out incomprehensible words. Before she got too sucked into her fantasies of Deku, she smacked her rosy cheeks, careful not to use all five fingers and float herself as she did before.

"However," Mina stood up, stretching her arms over her head. "The other girls and I are planning to make chocolates. If you want to come, I'd encourage you."

Ochako pondered about it for a second before turning to her friend and nodding. "Sure."

"Thank you so much for bringing us to your house, Yaomomo!" Tooru hopped in place; the sound of her (invisible) bare feet tapping on the hardwood floor could be heard.
