35 - CARRIED AWAY

"Ochako-chan, you're unexpectedly pretty good at teasing," Tsuyu tells her one night, in one of their monthly slumber parties during Tooru's "Feel Good Session," held in the latter's room as all girls sit in a circle.

This exclusively for 1-A girls gathering every month is a unanimous decision of the six teens. But their first session last month which was led by Tooru and Mina, ended up messy (literally) that Tenya had to barge into the invisible girl's room (declaring an apology first) after screams echoed throughout the halls of Alliance past curfew. The class president along with some alarmed and concerned male bystanders were witnesses to the dubbed "Girls' Party Slime Case" after seeing green goo all over the girls and well, all over Tooru's pink room.

So, what exactly happened? The 1-A Girls Pact states that what happens in the slumber party, stays in the slumber party, so all of them (even the noble Momo) had their lips sealed regarding the incident. Why murky masses of green-colored sludge coated their bodies and splatted all over the room that night would remain a mystery to all males of 1-A forever.

Tenya, of course, despite the beaming curiosity prioritized his job and responsibility to remind and scold them for such disturbance. He made them liable for the incident or else, no more slumber parties in the future even after all the "permits" they had to secure from the strict yet capable class representative. Momo, next in line to the 1-A leadership, managed to make amends and said that she'd take full responsibility for their next ones. Fortunately, because she is none other Momo Yaoyorozu, her "words of honor" were enough to gain his trust.

New pact: Mina and Tooru can't organize future slumber parties, much to the two girls' dismay.

With Momo headlining this monthly bonding, the clear and organized direction is to be expected. So in one of their meetings, each girl was asked to come up with their own sessions or set of activities that they are interested to do with the whole bunch.

"I want each of us to have the chance to explore something we like individually," she had said.

Tsuyu pitched "Spooky Froppy" which is basically ghost-story telling by her. She was grateful that Fumikage had volunteered to provide them with black curtains and candles whenever they needed it. Kyouka's was "Jamming Jacks," a sing-along session done in her sound-proof room. It's something they've been doing all this time, but somehow with a title, it feels official. Ochako suggested "Starry, Starry Night," which involves watching fictional or non-fictional films relating to stars, heavenly bodies, and the vast space. She had wanted star gazing but they aren't allowed to exit the dorms past curfew, so this should do. Mina pushed for "Love Bug," which was really just her excuse to pester everyone on the "status of their hearts." Tooru insisted on "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall," which prioritizes makeovers and skincare routines. And lastly, Momo's was "Tea Time," which was everyone's favorite since it involves snacks, happily supplied by Rikido.

While those are the main ones that they've agreed on, Momo still has more things compiled from their previous meetings and discussions. Definitely there are more movie nights, board games, psychological and personality games, crafting activities, and many more.

For this round, it's Tooru's "Feel Good Session" which simply requires them to "Praise each other just because we deserve to know it!" The bubbly girl had emphasized the need for all of them to just feel good about themselves because the pressure and weight of studying in the top school when it comes to the hero course in Japan can crush any of them if they aren't reminded of their strengths. She also insisted on pursuing "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall" while talking to hit two birds with one stone.

It's Ochako's turn to hear what the other girls find adoring about her. And to hear Tsuyu say that, somehow, she just doesn't expect it. Still seated on the floor, her body separates itself from leaning on the bed's side, as she comes closer to their circle.
