CHAPTER FIVE

On their walk back from the park Izuku had mapped out groups they would be in to shop. He was really on top of things, unlike her.

Everyone in their group rejoiced when they got inside, kicking off their boots and coats, ready to change (again) into something warm. Ochako waddled her way up the stairs, trying to keep her wet jeans from touching her leg as much as possible. It wasn't going so well.

She changed quickly in the bathroom, from her wet sledding clothes into something more...loungy. Another sweater that she had brought along (this one being a dark red with cute snowflakes), her warmest leggings, wool socks and her ankle boots.

She ran her hands under warm water to get feeling back into her fingers, before heading back down the stairs. Izuku ducking into the bathroom after she left, shooting her a warm smile.

Everyone was gathering again once they were done changing. She counted off the cousins coming, now waiting on Izuku, Eri, and Shouta.

They thumped down the stairs a few minutes later. "Is everyone ready? Good. I'm gonna drive us there, so behave. I don't want you messing up my car," Shouta lectured, making them chuckle.

Waving goodbye to those staying behind, they piled into the car.

So far their group was Shoto, Momo, her, Izuku, Eri, Shouta, Shinso, Katsuki, and Eijiro.

Eri seemed to be vibrating in her seat, she was so excited. "I really get to see Santa?" She asked Izuku with wide eyes.

She really had taken a liking to him.

Ochako smiled even though her heart ached at the thought of when they would inevitably 'break up'. End it, go their separate ways. Gosh...her family really liked him (Katsuki kept glaring, but she knew he liked how he treated her and how Izuku listened to her).

And she didn't want to admit it, but she liked him too.

She buckled her seatbelt, listening in on Izuku and Eri. "Oh yeah. He gives you one present you really hope and wish for, but I hope you've been a good girl this year or you might get coal," he said tickling her slightly.

Eri giggled. "I have I have! Ask Shosho!"

Izuku ceased his tickling, smiling. "I trust you. So, what are you gonna ask for this year?"

"This year? Wait, I can ask for one thing every year?!" she asked, eyes shining in wonder. He nodded with a smile. Ochako turned to smile at Shouta, as she was in the front seat . Suck it Katsuki.

Eri pursed her lips, before whispering in Izuku's ear. He nodded appreciatively. "That's a good wish. I'm sure Santa will make an extra special trip for you." She smiled real wide. Ochako let the car fall silent before speaking.

"Okay guys, Imma read off which teams people will be on for eve shopping, and who gets to take Eri to see Santa."

She didn't see her cousin's reactions, but she assumed they were nodding. Or in Katsuki's gase sulking over the loss of shotgun. She cleared her throat dramatically. Her eyes widened. "Eijiro and me. I guess we get to take Eri to see Santa." She smiled widely, sneaking a look at Izuku. He smiled back.

She looked back at the list and continued on. "Shinso, Katsuki, and Izuku." Yikes. Izuku signed himself up with Katsuki? "You guys are buying pajamas for Kyoka, Denki, me, grammy, grandpappy, auntie Mitsuki, and...Enji." Her face soured at her uncle's name.

"Shouta, Momo, and Shoto will get everyone else. That okay with everyone?"

A chorus of 'yeps' and 'yeses' met her. She smiled. "Awesome. Operation Santa Claus is underway!"
