Tommy stared at Phantom. "I'm sorry, but did I hear you correctly?" Tommy sputtered as he blinked his eyes rapidly. "I asked if you would mind if I walked you back to your house." He said with a smile. "Why?" Tommy asked, and Phantom looked a bit shocked at his words.

"What do you mean?" Phantom asked, confusion clearly showing on his face. "Since when did heroes care about the civilians? And why would someone like you want to walk me back to my house?" Tommy said with genuine concern, with a hint of disbelief. Phantom just stared at Tommy.

"Heroes have always cared about the civilians. They're literally our number one priority!" Phantom said, and Tommy realized what the situation was. In Phantom's eyes, he was Timothy. Timothy, who would start working at the Hero Headquarters tomorrow. The Hero Headquarters, which Phantom also worked at. He got his attitude together and plastered a smile on his face.

"Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot!" Tommy said cheerfully. Phantom just looked even more shocked. "So is that a yes?" Phantom said after a while, and Tommy nodded in response to Phantom's question. Phantom grinned and then did an exaggerated bow.

"Lead the way then!"

As I followed Timothy out onto the sidewalk, one thing was now crystal clear. Timothy could have huge mood swings. And I mean enormous mood swings. I noted the mildly alarming fact and turned my attention back to Timothy. After a few turns, he lead me to a small house that looked run down.

I couldn't help but feel a small pang of pity for the younger, but I had to be clear if this was where he lived. "Hey, is this where you live?" I asked him, and he nodded cheerfully. I frowned a little, but then remembered to tell him goodbye.

"Bye Timothy!" I said as I launched myself into the air with a grin.

Once Tommy made sure that Phantom was gone, he went inside the house, or hideout he should say, with a spare key. See, this wasn't Tommy's real house. This was just a hideout for Tommy, Purpled, Ranboo, and Tubbo. This wasn't where vigilante meetings happened, so there was no danger in Phantom knowing the location of their hideout, which meant Phantom didn't know where he actually lived. He wasn't about to tell some random hero where he lived.

He spotted Purpled sitting there with an open book in his lap. He grinned and told him hi. "Hey, Purpled! What are you reading?" I asked curiously. Purpled looked up from the book and mirrored my grin. "Just reading about aliens." He said as he looked at the book. I plopped down on a small chair beside him and frowned a bit. "Again?" I asked, and he gave me a small eye roll.

"I've told you before, if reading alien books lets me find out where I come from, then I'll do it!" Purpled said as he looked at the book passionately. "You said the same thing about your older brother." I mumbled, instantly regretting it. He stared at me with a hint of sadness on his face.

Purpled and his elder brother were both aliens who came from another planet. They were both visiting this planet in a UFO, when they crashed and landed in L'Manburg. They both promised to stick with each other, but Purpled was 5 and his elder brother was only 10.

After two years of taking care of Purpled, his brother couldn't take it anymore and abandoned him at the orphanage. Purpled always teared up a bit at the end, but they weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of furious rage. Purpled would always say that he hoped that he would show up one day at his door and apologize to him.

After talking for a bit longer with Purpled, Tommy left and went to the apartment. Puffy wasn't there, so he made his way upstairs, said hi to Tubbo and Ranboo, and went to bed. As Tommy stared at the ceiling, he couldn't help but feel a bit anxious.

Tomorrow was his first day working at the Heroes Headquarters.
