Chapter-6

At night

Manik entered Mahir's room to inform them about tomorrow's plan saw him drawing something

Manik- Mahir not sleepy

Mahir(looked up)- no dad

Manik- listen I have planned something for tomorrow

Mahir- I don't want to go anywhere dad

Manik- Mahir without listening you cannot tell no

Mahir – no dad I seriously have no mood to go anywhere

Manik was silent but something clicked in his mind

Manik- ok then I will tell the baby that Mahir is not interested in meeting

Mahir – baby

Manik- yes ...the lady nandini ...has invited us for lunch tomorrow because the baby was missing you but now I will tell them that you are not interested ...no worries

Mahir- no dad we will go even I miss the baby

Manik- are you sure mahir

Mahir( desperately)- yes dad

Manik was happy seeing his son so desperate to meet someone

They ended their day on a good note and eagerly waited for the next day

The next day

Nandini had made sure everything is perfect before their arrival and cooked varieties of food and was eagerly waiting for their arrival

Nisha and naira saw her excitement couldn't control themselves and asked

Nisha- nandu you look very excited what is the matter

Nandini- nothing nisha just waiting for mahir

Nisha- but why

nandini(gave a confused look)- don't know I just like that boy very much

Nisha nodded and gave naira a look like "what is happening to her "

 naira just shrugged her shoulders stating as "i told you so she likes the boy" look

IN MALHOTRA MANSION

manik was sleeping ...when Mahir entered his room... though many times manik insisted Mahir sleep with him Mahir always denied

Mahir walked inside the room and frowned seeing his father sleeping till now with a confused look he started waking him up

Mahir - dad wake up... weren't we supposed to go somewhere(manik groaned) dad wake up

But mahir's voice woke him up

Manik-Mahir what happened... why are you awake so early

Mahir- early dad aren't we supposed to go to nandini aunty's house

Manik checked the time it was showing 8 in the morning...

Manik - Mahir we are invited for lunch it is too soon for us to reach

Mahir- oh I thought we were late ...

Manik just smiled seeing his excitement

Manik- no problem now let's get ready

Mahir nodded and both moved to freshen up... before that manik informed Aryaman to arrive early (Malhotra and Khurana's mansion is next to each other ) After sometime Aryaman arrived and was waiting for the duo

Aryaman - all set(Manik nodded) let's go

Manik - will it be awkward if we reach before the time

Aryaman- don't think so much manik

All three left to Nandini's apartment

On the way, the trio stopped at a bouquet shop

Aryaman - why are we hanging here

Manik-it would not be good if we go empty hands... it is the first time we are visiting them

Aryaman nodded

Manik- Mahir do you want to select flowers for them

Mahir nodded and the three moved inside the bouquet shop

Aryaman - now which flowers are you going to present them

Manik-no idea look around... something good (turning to Mahir) look around which one you want to give her

Mahir nodded and moved further from them and manik, he had his eyes only on Mahir...

After seeing for a long time mahir stopped in front of blue orchid

Mahir - dad this one is good

Manik just nodded and told the shopkeeper to pack those into a beautiful bouquet

Manik- let's go, Mahir

Mahir( pulling his hand) - dad for the baby

Manik-you want to get flowers for the baby

Mahir nodded

Manik - OK which one do you want (Mahir pointed at the white orchids) OK let's get them

After getting the flowers all three started to their destination

On the other side, nandini invited Harshad as well as Cabir because it is been a long time they have met each other... though Harshad and nandini meet in the office but due to workload cannot talk much

Harshad and cabir reached first and all were seated in the living room talking random things

Harshad - so the boy is apparently (to Nisha) is your boss's son (Nisha nodded) how is he? a good guy as in his character

Naira - why do you ask Harshad... .you should be talking about Mahir, not his father

Harshad - that is not the point I just don't want someone you know to mistreat or say something bad about my sister

All understood his point of worry but Nisha got a little pissed... Nisha has been working for manik for 3 years now and know exactly what type of a guy he is in fact she is familiar with the khurranas as well... she couldn't help but defend manik

Nisha- sorry to say Harshad but not everyone is like madhyam or to be more precise like fab 5

There was a pin drop silence... No one spoke after that... it was the first time after Nandini's divorce they are mentioning fab 5... Nisha released the blunder before she could speak of anything else their doorbell rang

Naira - seems as they have arrived I will check

With that naira left to open the door

Nisha - sorry guys I just didn't know how that rolled through my mouth

Cabir for the first time spoke

Cabir - it's not your fault... we have made the worst decision of our life and are paying the price for it ...
