Chapter-24

After a week, Manik and Nandini sat on their plush sofa, the baby softly sleeping in Manik's arms.  

Seeing Manik looking at her daughter, something erupted inside nandini, which she cannot name.

"Manik"

He looked up, "what happened?"

"I was thinking about the naming ceremony. Should we do it?"

"Of course, we have to, Is that even a question to ask? We should start planning soon."

"Sure, let's keep it simple."

Manik considered her suggestion, a smile playing on his lips. "I like that idea. A small gathering would be perfect.

"Who do you like to invite?"

"My friends, my brother and cabir."

"Sound good."

"How about inviting Mr. and Mrs. Khuranna?"

Manik stilled momentarily, "I don't think so, Nandini."

"I think we should invite them, Manik; they have been with you through your hard times, let's invite them, if they turn up, then good; if not, that is also okay."

Manik was in deep thought, "Okay, as you say."

"Give her to me; let me make her sleep."

"No"

"Manik, don't be a child, go pick up Mahir from school."

Saying so, she picked up the baby.

The same evening, Nandini made the baby sleep, Manik was helping Mahir with his homework, and after she made sure the baby was secured, Nandini came to check on the father and son. Seeing them engrossed, she smiled and went to the kitchen to prepare some snacks.

After meeting with Fab 5, Aryaman came to meet Manik regarding the same. Nandini, who finished making some snacks, came out to see Aryaman entering the house.

"Aryaman, hello."

"Hi Nandini, is Manik there."

"Of course he is; he is teaching Mahir.  You can go upstairs."

Aryaman came into Mahir's room to see the father and son engaged in homework,

"Hello, guys."

"Aryaman, what are you doing here?"

"I came in to inform you about today's meeting."

As Aryaman stood there,

"Come, let's go to the study." turning to Mahir, "Go find Nandini, and don't disturb the baby."

Mahir nodded and left.

"What's up, Aryaman?" Manik asked as soon as they entered the study.

"I had a call with Fab5; they are in pretty bad shape; I don't think they will be able to deliver."

Manik sat there, not answering anything.

"What's up with the singhania's?

"They are unusually quiet, I think they thought that Nandini went back to her parents' house."

"Is the detective still on them?"

"Yes"

"What about Madhyam? What is his thought on the baby?"

"The good thing is that he does not want anything to do with the baby and is opposing his parents as well."

"Coming to the album, give them some more time; if they don't adhere to it, let's terminate the contract."
