Ocean||JJ Maybank X Reader

Chapter 1:

You were alone (at least you thought you were) by the ocean listening to the waves crash along the shore, just soaking up the salt water air before summer was over. You thought what it would be like to have somebody who you were everything to like JJ was everything to you. By then you felt the presence of someone next you, so you turned and saw JJ.
"What are you thinking about?" JJ said
"Just thinking about how the next school years gonna be you know summers almost over." You replied
"Oh yea cause your so worried about school." JJ said sarcastically
"I am you know I have to get good grades if ever wanna leave the Outer Banks." You said
"Your gonna leave this place? Why?" JJ questioned
"I feel that there's just life outside of the kook and pouge life." You sighed
Everyone thought that yours and JJ's friendship was weird because you were a kook and he was a pouge, but when that blonde 6 year old boy showed up on your door step when you were 6 your parents have treated him like a son ever since.
"Yea your right but this is the life! Tell me you wouldn't miss the ocean and going out late every night, not have a care in the world!" JJ said
"I would miss the ocean the most. It knows all my secrets." You said
"The ocean knows your secrets? Why would tell the ocean your secrets?" JJ asked confused
"The ocean is the best secret keeper and it never judges you." You replied
"I'm offended!" JJ said
"Why?" You asked
"You would tell the ocean your secrets and not me?!" JJ said
"With my luck you'd probably tell John B." You laughed
"Would not! I didn't tell him about that time you kissed that nasty kid who had lice when we were in the 7th grade!" JJ said
"You still remember that?!" You said surprised
"Yeah! I remember everything!" JJ replied
"What's your favorite thing you've told the ocean?" JJ asked
"Probably who I love." You said
"And who is that?" JJ asked
"I don't know ask the ocean. Oh wait you can't cause the ocean doesn't talk!" You laughed
"Your not funny. Well I want to tell the ocean who I love." JJ said
"Go ahead!" You said
JJ got up and walked to the shore line and stood there for a solid minute.
"Are you gonna do it?" You asked
"I did!" JJ yelled
"You gotta scream it!" You yelled back
"Come show me!" JJ yelled
You walked down and stood next to JJ.
"You got to do it like this." You said
"I LOVE JJ MAYBANK!" You screamed
You didn't realized you actually said his name until you turned around and saw the look on his face.
"You what?" He said
"Shut up! Your turn." You said embarrassed
JJ got ready to scream until you stopped him.
"You know what your probably gonna say John B and i already know that so just don't scream." You said
"Ok. Fine." JJ said
You guys started to walk back until JJ started running back towards the shore line and yelled.
"I LOVE Y/N!!"
