Chapter 1- Upon a Rugged Land
The Parrot and the Rabbit had arrived on the sandy shores of the first Hizukan Island.
Far East they had gone, perhaps too far east. A Nomadic Land, filled with savage monsters and traders, crime families and mafias, the only place the Demons didn't control. Some say it was far worse once. But the crime families slowly lose power too, as the Demons begin to control even where the Pirates once reigned. The Pirates, scoundrels, bastards, thieves and rascals as they have been called. But they are called that for one reason, because they are hated by both the Demons and the Mages before them. They follow a code known as the Hunter Code, yet it was deemed savage by those before them. The rabbit, Louie was the first to wake up, he began immediately to walk west. The Parrot, Nova was outraged, ¨Hey where do you think you are going?¨, the rabbit squeaked back, which was his way of communicating, and the Parrot could understand, among many other languages. Despite Nova's efforts to try to stop Louie, the two ended up going west anyway. The two animals traveled lonely in the remote desert, only conversing with each other as company. There was no sight of civilization in their eyes reach. Then, they approached an old giant tomb-like building. Nova was exhausted and was ready for some rest. He rushed towards the building. Louie squeaked, warning Nova, but he still longed for the oasis of his dreams. It was too late. A grumpy goblin-like being emerged from the building and soon more started gathering. But they weren't goblins. They were too short. They were trolls. The trolls wore hoods, to not reveal their faces. No one really knew how their faces looked, and they were a fearsome nomadic tribe and most who meddled with them didn't even survive according to the stories. The troll attacked Louie and Nova. Before they could move, they were brought in by a net. Another troll came and spoke in some other language. Luckily, Nova could interpret it. ¨They're selling us!¨ Nova exclaimed in panic. There was nothing that could be done. The building began to sink into the sand and the two animals didn't anything but darkness again.
Nova and Louie woke up the next morning inside of the Troll's shifting cave as the locals called it. As the day went on, the trolls set up a bid in different little towns across the desert. Sadly, no one seemed to want to buy Louie and Nova. Town after town, the animals got tired and bored of it. Then the final town approached, Ironsummit. The trolls brought the pair out once again. But this town was different. This town was the town they were looking for. The Last Mage was.... here.
