"Stop!" Peleg commanded the rest of the fleet, "This is my fight. I am the only one who has a minute chance of surviving an encounter with him." Peleg said as he left off alone to confront Raiknos. Randell and Jeroboam tried arguing with him, but it was to no avail. Peleg was faster than the rest, so they couldn't help him either. The Masked Demon stood right in front of Peleg. He was the one. Who killed his father and mother. And Tepan. For them, he said in his own mind. Then he heard a voice speak to him, "Make him attack you, provoke him and then toss the stick of dynamite in the middle of the large, Shrine Wall ''. "Who are you?" Peleg asked, but there was no response, nor time to answer, Raiknos was about to slice him in half. Then he suddenly levitated the bomb with a spell. Raiknos was shocked, "You are.... A Mage... How did you–?". Peleg didn't respond. He sent the bomb flying towards the Shrine, as it began to crumble. But before it was destroyed, a black becon rose from the center and fired straight at the Verline Isles. It was too late.
Slowly the Shrine crumbled, and parts of the Shrine had collapsed over Raiknos' vessel along with many others of the Demons. It was then Jeroboam and Randell caught up to his vessel, in the messy sea. "You did it! We won!" Randell cheered. "No... we lost the entire Verline Isles...." Peleg spoke guiltily. "We got word from the other survivors. All of the ones at the Isles escaped and fled to Acheron. Steven, our leader was killed in the process, we have been sent orders via parrots to report back to White Tiger Island." Jeroboam explained to Peleg. Soon enough they left off to the west to reach White Tiger Island, to both celebrate their victory and mourn their loss". Inside the decaying Shrine's center was a different story. Shadows stood at the center defending the center which was enchanted by a now destroyed diamond. "You can still escape", one of the Shadows spoke to their commander and the enchanter who created the diamond, Governor Michael. The Governor had spoken back, "I.... can't and won't. This was my life's work, to defend my people. Since we are all to die soon, let's die, with a nice tale, a story. My story. I shall be forgotten forever anyways.", the 5 remaining Shadows sat around the center where Michael stood as he narrated his tale. "Long ago..... When I was merely a boy, I lived in the Venom Springs. They were dangerous and my people were constantly avoiding the serpents and the purple lakes of venom. One day I was about to die, but, Raiknos, he saved me. The Demons created a cohesive world that the Mages never provided us. The Mages were always too dabbled in the larger picture to ever realize what would happen to the petty peasants and farmers. I was recruited eventually by the Demon King himself, and worked on his and my passion, the Dread Shrine. I worked a decade on this. And those petty Revolutionaries destroyed. Everything! EVERYTHING we had! In this stupid never ending war between the Demons and the Mages, everyone else will be killed too!" he screamed and the tower finally snapped his neck. The world wasn't so black and white after all. In a war, both sides commit sins.
