"The Mind Flayer built it's monster in Hawkins. To stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world." Mike explained.
"And it almost did." Max added. "That was just one tiny piece of it."
"How big is it?" Hopper asked. 
"It's big. Thirty feet at least." Jonathan answered.
"Yeah. It sort of destroyed your cabin." Lucas said. "Sorry."
"Ok so just to be clear, this big fleshy spider thing that hurt El, it's a gigantic weapon?"
"Yes." Nancy nodded. 
"But instead of like screws and metal, the Mind Flayer made its weapon with melted people?"
"Yes exactly." Nancy responded.
"Yeah okay. Yeah just making sure." Steve nodded.
"Are we sure this things is still out there? Still alive?" Joyce asked.
"El beat the shit out of it, but yeah it's still alive." Max answered.
"But if we close the gate again-" Will suggested.
"Cut the brain off from the body." Max added.
"And kill it." Lucas finished. "Theoretically."
"Yoo-hoo!" The strange man called out, waving papers in the air. "Yoo-hoo!"
He caught everyone's attention, placing his papers down onto a table. He pointed to what seemed to be a map. "Okay now this is what Alexei called the hub. Now the hub takes us to the vault room."
"Okay, where's the gate?" Hopper asked.
"Right here." The man said, pointing to a spot on the map that Izzie had understood to be the Russian base she had just escaped. "I don't know the scale on this but I think it's fairly close to the vault room, maybe 50 feet or so."
Izzie let out a snort. "More like 500." Erica corrected. "And what are just gonna waltz in there like it's commie Disneyland or something?"
"I'm sorry who are you?" He asked.
"Erica Sinclair. Who are you?" She quipped.
"Murray Bauman." He answered. 
"Listen Mr. Bum-man I'm not trying to tell you how to do things but I've been down in that shit hole for 24 hours. And with all due respect, you do what this man tells you, you're gonna die."
"I'm sorry, why is this four year old speaking to me." Murray asked.
"I'm ten you bald bastard!" Erica quipped.
"Erica!" Lucas scolded.
"Just the facts!" She defended.
"She's right." Dustin assured. "You're all gonna die, but you don't have too. Excuse me, sorry, may I?"
