Mitsuri decided she wanted to take me out shopping, she told me she wanted to find a formal, wedding kimono or a western styled dress for Kagaya and I's wedding. It felt weird, the fact that I was actually going to be married, especially Kagaya. I never really imagine when I first had met him I'd be marrying him years later.
It felt so fast, everything felt fast with our relationship, but I guess that happens, when you're dating a dying man."Lets look here~" Mitsuri pulled me into the large sewing shop, stumbling behind her my eyes adjusted to the slightly darker room than outside.
I smiled, Kanroji is so cute helping me in this way so much.
"What color do you like~?" Mitsuri questioned, excited with a sparkle in her eye. "I'm not sure, i think of the color and do not mind, as long as the dress is pretty and will suit everything else." I told her, she smiled, "what about Oyakata sama?" She questioned and I grinned, "he wouldn't mind either." I replied, knowing that he's so kind he wouldn't even care if we were wearing the ugliest robes ever, as long as we were together.Mitsuri pulled me along in the store, more enthusiastic than me, of course the love hashira would be. "How about this?" Mitsuri questioned, holding infront of me a long, purple western styled dress that was slightly poofy and princess like. I smiled but shook my head. "I don't think that looks all that good..." I said, I wasn't a fan of the top, neither the ruffled skirt. It was actually horrendous.
I asked, "I want a red dress, western." To the shop owner and she smiled, "are you the bride?" I nodded to her assumption. Mitsuri gasped, "western and red! How didn't you tell me!" She wined half joking. I smiled, "I didn't want to disappoint." I said and she smiled. The lady led us through a hall way and into a room filled with red traditional wedding attire and western.
"Here," I said, I found a dress I admire, it was a mixture between both traditional and western. Mitsuri picked the dress up and compared it to my body, "its your size! It looks great too!" She beamed with a large smile on her face and sparkling eyes.
The dress was a red silk, gold flowers covered up the loose sleeves that would end at the top of the wrists and the middle laid two golden koi.
"You need to try it on!" Mitsuri exclaimed happily.Mitsuri followed me into a changing room and helped me to get into the dress, then doing the single button on the front by my chest up. "Wow," Mitsuri spoke, I turned around to see myself in the mirror, the dress looked amazing on me, it hugged all the right places of my body. "It looks really nice," I said staring at myself in the large mirror of the shop.
"You look really nice y/n!" Mitsuri said and I blushed a little embarrassed.
"Hello, are you wanting to purchase today?" The lady asked, the shop owner asked. Mitsuri stepped out closing the curtain. "Yes, of course! I'll pay right now." I heard Mitsuri say, my eyes widened. "Mitsuri! You don't have to pay!" I yelled and she walked away with the lady to pay. I felt bad, even if she was a hashira and that made her rich, I still feel bad about her buying my expensive wedding dress.Once we left the store the dress was zipped into a black velvet bag with my name labeled in the middle. Mitsuri, of course, carried back home for me.
"You're back already?" Kagaya asked, he was sitting outside infront of the house on the deck, the usual meeting place of the hashira, however only him and Kiriya were there. "Yeah, we got a dress for me." I told him and he smiled. "Wow, I'm so glad. What color?" He had asked, I smiled wide. "Its red, my love. So you can wear a black suit with red accents, how does that sound?" I asked, Kagaya had a large smile too. "It sounds perfect." He said as I sat next to him, Kiriya on the other side and Mitsuri walking inside to put the dress away.
"How did it go, does it look beautiful on you, my gorgeous?" He asked grabbing onto my hand. "Ah, well I think you would believe so if you could see me in it." I told him kissing his cheek. Kiriya left, with Kuina. They went to Giyuu's estate, as for a while now they would go and stay there to play games with him. It made me laugh, that Giyuu being so anti social would be friends with Kagaya's children.
"Darling?" Kagaya asked, I hummed in response. "I love you, y/n." He said softly, kissing my neck. I blushed. "I love you too, ah you're so cute." I told him, moving a little closer and resting my head on his shoulder.
"I'm so happy I get to marry you," I said listening to his breathing, I smiled. "I am too..." he trailed off, lacing his fingers with mine and playing with them. "I'm worried, about you. Are we going too fast?" I asked him, Kagaya shook his head. "I don't think so, but if you wish we don't need to be married, I'll love you either way." He said and I looked down. "I love you, a lot. I'll marry you darling." I told him, I looked up to see a soft smile on his face. "I'm glad," he said. "You're the most precious person I've met." Kagaya told me, kissing the top of my head caring me to blush as he did so.
Mitsuri walked out and squealed at the sight. "You two are too adorable!" She exclaimed, bending over and squishing the three of us together in a tight, warm, loving hug.
