sneaking in the window

I'm in my room in bed when my window opens. I gasp, looking. "Derek" I whisper. He chuckles, climbing in. "You scared the crap out of me" I say. "Sorry" he grins.

"Hi" I smile, hugging him. "Hi.. Happy birthday" he squeezes me tight, making me smile. "You remembered?" I ask. "Of course" he says.

"You're the only one who remembered" I say. "What?" He pulls away slowly. I shrug. "Your family-" he says. I shake my head. "I'm sorry" he kisses my head. "Its okay.. I dont care" I say. He smiles small.

"You want your present?" He smiles. "You got me a present?" I ask. "Of course.." he says. I smile. He grabs a box out of his pocket, passing it to me. I open it. It's a princess wishbone ring.

"Wow.. der.. its beautiful" I say. "You like it?" He asks. "I love it.. thankyou so much" I hug Him tight. "You're welcome" he smiles. I pull away slowly. I put it on. He smiles.

"I um- I should go" he says. "You can't stay for a bit?" I ask. "You want me to?" He asks. I nod. "Okay" he smiles.

I sit down on the edge of my bed. He grabs my desk chair, sitting on it backwards infront of me. I grab the front of the chair, grinning as I pull him closer to me.

"So.. How's Addison?" I ask. "Good.. How's finn?" He asks. "Good" I say. We look into eachothers eyes. "Me and Addison broke up" "me and finn broke up" we say in unison. "Oh" we say in sync.

"Why?" He asks. "Um.. I ended it with him.. I just- we didn't feel the same way about eachother" I say. "Same with me and addison" he nods. "Oh" I breathe.

We look into eachothers eyes. I put my hands on his cheeks, kissing him deeply. My bedroom door opens. We pull away quickly.

"Mom" I say as we both stand up. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" She says. "Um.." I say. "Honey?" My dad says, walking upstairs. "Run.. go now" I say to derek.

I quickly pull him to the window. "Happy birthday" he says. I chuckle before he jumps out quickly and I close it. I look at my mom and dad. I clear my throat awkwardly.

"He was just giving me my birthday present" I say. "I bet he was" my mom says. "No I- it's not like that.. he gave me a ring.. see?" I show her it.

"Oh you're engaged too?" She says sarcastically. "What? No it's just a.. friendship ring.. not a-" I say. They roll their eyes.

"You are not having boys under my roof" my dad says. "We weren't.. we weren't gonna.. I really like him" I say. "I don't care.. no boys" he says. My mom nods.

"I'm 19" I say. "Under my roof" he walks out. My mom follows. I groan. I go to the door, closing it. I get into bed. I smile, touching my lip as I think about the kiss. I smile, closing my eyes. I eventually drift off to sleep.

I wake up at 8am. I get up, shower, shave my legs, get changed and put on some light makeup and curl my hair. I grab my coat before sneaking out the front door. I walk across the street to Derek's house.

I knock on his bedroom window. He opens It. "Hey" I grin. "Hey" he smiles. "You wanna go for a walk?" I ask. "Sure" he jumps out of the window, making me giggle.

I smile as we start walking down the path into the woods by our houses. We're walking down a path, talking. His pinkie brushes against mine. I smile. We slowly entwine our fingers as we walk. I blush slightly, looking down.

"What did your parents say yesterday?" He asks. "Um.. they just said I'm not allowed boys in their house" I giggle. "You're 19" he chuckles. "Well.. they're strict" I shrug.

"You can come to my house whenever you want" he grins, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, keeping our fingers entwined. I smile.

"You're gonna regret saying that when you catch me sneaking through your window" I grin. "Hey.. that's my thing" he grins. I giggle. We sit down at a bench. I rest my head on his shoulder, wrapping my arms around his waist.
