"Hey! What are you doing out here?"

Tohru looked up to see a woman, probably in her late 60s, staring at her with concern. Tohru was too out of it to really get her full appearance, not to mention that it was dark outside.
Tohru's vision was starting to get blurry again, as the adrenaline in her body started to slow down. Tohru started to feel every bit of pain imaginable.

The woman walked closer to her and even in this horrible state, Tohru slowly stepped back from the stranger. The woman refused to let up though and eventually got close enough to Tohru to see how badly she was injured.

"Miss, what happened to your head?"

Tohru had no idea what she was talking about.
Although Tohru felt immense pain on her pounding head, she didn't understand what the woman was talking about. Tohru brought a hand up to the most painful spot on her scalp, feeling something wet up there. At first she thought it was the snow that just happened to be falling all around her.

However, when Tohru looked down she saw that her hand was covered in red liquid. She looked behind her to see a trail of red, from where she was walking, staining the snow behind her. Tohru looked back at her hand in both disbelief and pure exhaustion.

Her eyelids fluttered as she tried to focus her attention on her hand. At this moment, Tohru didn't really care how badly she was injured. She just wanted to go to sleep. And she almost succeeded until she heard the woman's voice in front of her.

"I'm going to call an ambulance, okay? What's your name, sweetie?"

"I-I don't know" Tohru's voice was hoarse and dehydrated. She was even surprised she was able to speak. Tohru's eyes started to close again as exhaustion started taking over her again.

"Sweetie, I need you to stay awake for me. okay?" The woman's voice was so comforting and warm. Like a mother's. Tohru just nodded her head. She didn't actually plan on staying awake but her throat was too dry for her to say that.

They were in the woods, not too far from a road. You could see it in the distance. The entire time the woman was on the phone, Tohru just stood there.

The shaking of her body stopped a long time ago. All Tohru could think about was how tired she was. Her eyes were drooping slowly.

She could feel that it was her time to go. And she was ready. Tohru had no thoughts or memories.

There was no need for her to stay anymore. It's not like she wanted to die but she knew that with the amount of blood she had lost and the exhaustion that was over her, she knew that it was going to happen either way.

She didn't think there was any point on fighting it, unlike the woman in front of her. She was so desperate to keep Tohru alive, at least it sounded like it in her panicked voice.

The woman abruptly hung up the phone and turned to Tohru, who was fighting the gravity on her eyelids.

"Sweetie, we've got an ambulance heading our way. The hospital isn't too far away from here so they're gonna be here any minute. We gotta get you to the main road," As she said this the woman slowly wrapped Tohru's arm over her shoulder and carefully walked them both towards the road.

Once they get to the side of the road, sirens and lights can be seen in the distance. Exhaustion finally took ahold of Tohru and she closed her eyes, for what she assumed would be, the last time.

The last day of their trip came by extremely quickly. Its been a day since Uotani and Hamajima came to visit and much to Tohru's dismay, there hasn't been much progress on her memories since the sobbing on the beach. Part of her was saying it's a good thing, at least this way she won't be overloaded with memories. However, Tohru was growing impatient.
