Demi’s Pov
I woke up the next morning, I tried to move, but a wave of pain went straight through me. I let out a little wince and then laid back down. I must have woke Joe up because he was looking at me with a concerned look on his face, “What’s the matter babe?”
“I am just very sore”
“I’m sorry” he said, looking very guilty
“No, it’s okay, I enjoyed it” I replied
He smiled and then kissed me on my forehead. “Are you sure you are okay?” he asked
“I’m sure I will be fine”
“Okay babe”
“But I am still tired”
“That’s okay babe, you go back to sleep”
Joe’s Pov
When I woke up, Demi was still sleeping, about 20 minutes later she started to wake up and she tried to move but she winced in pain. I turned to look at her, I was very concerned. She reassured me that she would be fine, but I couldn’t help but feel guilty. She was still tired so I said “That’s okay babe, you go back to sleep” She then drifted off back to sleep
I didn’t want to get up yet, but I wasn’t tired so I just laid there staring at Demi, she is so beautiful. But I couldn’t help but still feel guilty for her pain this morning.
I finally decided to get up. I got up carefully as I didn’t want to wake Demi, I walked into her kitchen to find that her mom have left a note, it said ‘Gone out shopping, be back this evening, Love mom xx’
I then looked in the fridge and saw that there were some eggs; I thought that maybe I could make some pancakes. I found a recipe using the internet on my phone and luckily I found all the ingredients I needed.
I made some pancakes, put them on a plate and took them into Demi with a glass of water and some painkillers. I gently woke her up and said “Here you go, offering her the painkillers”
She sat up, winced a little, but managed to sit up fully and take the painkillers from my hand. I gave her the glass of water and she said “Thanks Joe” She then took the painkillers.
“I made you these” I said giving her the plate of pancakes
She took them, placed the plate on her lap and said “Thanks”
Demi’s Pov
Joe is so sweet; he came in to wake me up after letting me sleep for a little while longer with painkillers and pancakes. He made them himself as well, they were so nice.
“These are really good Joe, Thank-you”
“It’s okay Dems”
I sat there and ate the pancakes, I was still in pain, but hopefully the painkillers will help a little. When I was finished Joe took the plate and went to go and put it in the sink. Then he came back and sat next to me.
“How are you feeling now?” he asked
“It’s still a little painful, but I will be okay” I replied
“I’m sorry” he said looking very guilty
“Joe, it’s okay, I’ll be fine!”
“Okay Dems. Do you want to get up or lay there for a little longer?”
“I think I should get up” I said looking at my clock “It is 11am”
“Yeah okay, do you need any help?”
“Just help me stand, and then I should be fine”
“Okay babe”
Joe then helped me to get out of bed and stand up, it was painful but I didn’t want to make Joe guilty so I tried not to show it. Joe then left and went into the living room, and I got dressed.
Joe’s Pov
I left Demi to get changed and went and sat in the living room. Maybe we could watch a movie, if Demi is in pain she is not going to want to do much.
I knelt down in front of the TV to get to the cabinet below, where Demi keeps her DVD’s and I got out a few nice ones. Whip It, Wild Child and Juno.
Demi then came into the living room and I looked up at her and said “You okay?”
“Yeah, I will be fine Joe”
“Do you want to watch a movie? I just thought that if you are in pain you weren’t going to want to do much, but maybe we could just relax and watch a DVD”
“Yeah sounds good. Joe where’s my mom?”
“Umm, she left a note” I went a got the note then read it to her “Gone out shopping, be back this evening, Love mom xx”
“Okay, so what movies have you picked out?”
“Umm, Whip it, Mean girls and Juno”
“Okay, what about Whip It?”
“Okay sounds good”
Demi and I both sat down and watched Whip It, I put my arm around her and she just sat there watching the movie with her hand on her stomach. When the movie ended Demi had her head on my chest and I think she is asleep, but I just said “Demi” to make sure. She obviously wasn’t asleep; because she lifted her head took a deep breath and said “Yes”
“It’s okay” I said “Just wanted to see whether you were sleeping”
“No, I’m not. I just got really comfy in that position”
“Oh, that’s good” I replied “So, how is the pain?”
“Virtually gone, the painkillers have worked there magic. Thanks Joe”
“It’s okay babe” I leaned in a pecked her lips, she looked up at me and smiled.
