Joe’s Pov
I woke up and got ready for school. Just thinking about last night, I am glad that Demi told her mom and I told mine over dinner, I don’t like having secrets between me and my mom and I don’t think Demi does either; they seem really close.
I am glad that Demi’s mom has accepted our relationship and has trusted Demi. I would never do anything to hurt her; I don’t think I would be able to live with the memory if I did.
I went outside and waited at the bus stop for Demi, 5 minutes later, she came out and walked across the road to the bus stop.
“Hey Dems”
“Hey Joe”
“Dems, I told my mum last night.”
“Oh, how did it go?”
“She accepted it. She said that she was happy for me.”
“That’s good, I’m happy that both our parents accept our relationship.”
“Me, too”
The bus arrived and we both got on and sat next to each other. When the bus arrived at school we got off and went to our lockers, which were near each other.
Demi’s Pov
I came out of my house and saw Joe waiting at the bus stop; he told me that his parents had accepted our relationship. I was glad; I don’t know whether I could have enjoyed the relationship knowing that Joe’s parents didn’t like it.
We got onto the bus and when it arrived at school we both went to our lockers. We then compared timetables and unfortunately we didn’t have any lessons together. So we agreed to meet back at our lockers at the end of the day.
The bell rang for the end of the day and I met Joe outside our lockers, then we made our way out to the bus and sat next to each other. When the bus stopped at our stop we got out and before we went our separate ways Joe said “I love you Dems” he then pulled me into a tight hug.
As I was being held in the hug I said “I love you too Joe”
Joe released me from the hug and we said goodbye again, then I walked across the street and went inside my house. Mom was in the living room watching TV as I walked in I shouted “Mom, I’m home”
“Hey Dems” she shouted back
I walked upstairs to my room and lay on my bed. Joe had for the first time said that he loved me and I had said it back for the first time.
Just then my phone rang, it was Joe.
Joe’s Pov
I released Demi from the hug and we said our goodbye’s again, then we went our separate ways, she crossed the road and went into her house and I walked along the sidewalk to mine. I went in and I couldn’t stop thinking about Demi. So I called her.
When she answered I said “Hey Dems”
“Hey Joe”
“Hey, do you fancy going out this Saturday?”
“Yeah, okay”
“It can be our first date.”
“Aww, I can’t wait”
“Where would you like to go?”
“I dunno, surprise me”
“Okay babe. I’ll pick you up at 6”
“Okay”
After I hung up with Demi I sat on my bed trying to think of where to take her, after a while I decided to take her to Olive Garden for a meal. I fell asleep that night thinking about her.
