Chapter 23 - Don't Worry

-2 weeks Later-

Demi’s Pov

It has been 2 weeks since I have seen Joe last, after that night, he went home, his mom sent him a text asking him to come home, and he hasn’t been round since. We have talked through text, but never for very long. He has told me that he is spending some time with his family as they are getting ready for the vacation to Florida; but he has promised to spend a day or so with me before he goes.

Since having that stomach ache, I haven’t really had anymore symptoms, well not that I have noticed, maybe that means I’m not pregnant after all, maybe it means the pill did work and that I will fine; but I suppose it’s still early days. I didn’t get my period like I thought I would, but I know sometimes taking the pill can cause women to miss periods, I am a little concerned but I don’t want to worry Joe.

Joe goes on vacation with his family in 4 days, I hope that I get to see him before he goes; I want to make sure that he isn’t going to worry about me, like I know he has been.

 

I was lying in bed, I really couldn’t be bothered to get up, I was just being plain lazy; mom had already gone to work before I woke up, but she came in to my room and woke me to tell me that she was going; I then went back to sleep.

Just then someone knocked on the door, I got up still in my pyjamas and answered the door; it was Joe. He looked at me with a concerned look on his face.

“Are you okay babe?” he asked

“Yeah, I’m fine Joe, why wouldn’t I be?”

“Umm, just cause it’s 1 in the afternoon and your still in your pyjamas”

“I couldn’t be bothered to get up” I replied

“Oh”

“Do you want to come in” I asked

“Yeah, sure” he replied

Joe then walked in and I said “Okay, do you want to go into the living room and sit down, I am just going to go and get dressed”

“Okay” he replied

I walked back up to my room and got dressed, it was 1 in the afternoon and I didn’t plan to go out anywhere so I just got dressed in sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt. I walked out into the living room and sat next to Joe; he looked over at me puzzled “Are you sure you’re feeling okay” he asked

“Yeah Joe I’m fine, please don’t worry”

“I am trying not to Dems, but I just can’t help but worry about you”

“Why would you worry?”

“Well, you took the pill late, but I want you to know that if anything happens I am here for you, I would never leave you”

“I know you wouldn’t Joe” I said, and then I leaned in and kissed him passionately

Joe was a little shocked by this, but he kissed back and asked for entry, I accepted and soon our lips and tongues were moving in perfect harmony together. Joe wrapped his arms around me and then pulled away and said “I love you”

“I love you too Joe” I replied giving him another peck on the lips

“I missed you” he said
