KORELIA HAS RESTED the rest of the morning, her mother explaining to her siblings that her sister needed to be alone for a bit before they had decided to go and bother her. But seemingly as they might, keeping others from waking the princess was hard to do."Princess Korelia!" Someone's voice screeched outside her door, the girl rolling over to pull the blanket over her head.
"Princess!" Allura pushed the door open, startling the girl on her bed.
Allura gave a huge sigh of relief when she noticed the lump that laid in the unmade bed. The quarter staff was placed off the side of her desk.
"Princess! You had me beyond worried! What did you do!? Where did you go!?" Allura shouted, shaking the younger girl in desperation.
"Allura leave the girl alone! She's so tired her eyes can't even open all the way!" Kima scold, walking up behind Allura. Allura looked down at Korelia who had her head lolled to the side, eyes blinking the sleep away.
"How long were you gone for?" Lady Allura asked Korelia. The girl in questioned stretched and groan trying to get the sleep out of her system and her body to wake up fully.
"I got here before the sun rose," Korelia squinted at her window, the sun shining bright and hot. "What time is it?"
"About 10. Kreig has come back with information so your father called for a council meeting." Lady Kima answered. Korelia frowned her eyebrows, confused for the most part.
"He put all our soldiers at risk!? What happened to them!?" She shouted, quickly coming to her feet. She ran to her wardrobe to gather her clothing, trying to get ready as fast as she could to catch up to the meeting.
"Did you see what it was?" Allura asked, watching as the princess rushed about her room.
"It's a dragon, Lady Allura. It killed off the entirety of the Shale Steps. Less than 10 people survived according to Opium." Allura gasped in shock, while Kima's face held a frown.
"They shouldn't be far from the capitol. We have to make arrangements for them as soon as-"
"Korelia, your father will handle it. You need to rest for now." Korelia whipped her head up to look at Allura.
"I can't rest, Lady Allura. Not when that thing is still out there."
"Well you don't have a choice. There guards at your door." Lady Kima told Korelia.
"What?" Korelia answered, head turning to her bedroom door. She walked up to it, popping her head out and looking at both sides of her door. Two guards were stationed there, their staffs held in their hands, faces stoic and none responsive. She shut the door back up and turned to the two older women in her bedroom.
"You've got to be kidding me."
"You still have the window." Kima let out an ow as Allura smack her head. Korelia gave the window a glance, looking back over at the two.
