WITH THE NIGHT getting colder, people who sat in bars becoming more drunk as the night progressed. It was a normal night, the moon high in the sky and the townsfolk mulling about their nightly business. A baggy dressed human walked along the alleyways, half of their face covered by a porcelain mask to hide their identity. It was rather easy to blend into the shadows, the clothing dark in color to help hide them from people who passed by.
The pants they wore were loose, baggy but cinched around their waist. A cloak covered the upper half of their body, a tight compressed shirt underneath. Fingerless gloves covered their hands, on currently occupied with carrying a large metal staff. There was a metallic blue jay sitting atop, wings outstretched but feathers pulled back down into the staff itself. In it's eyes were yellow crystals, gleaming as they hit any source of light.
They were heading towards the castle, their day having come to an end. Information gathering was quite hard, especially with the intel needing to come from so far away from the kingdom of Tal-Dorei. Having a nice hot bath sounded great, the water to sooth them to sleep on their mind. But all that was abruptly out of mind when a bear charged past them rushing towards a tavern
Leaning their head to peer into the building that smashed, the brawl that was going on was a rather odd one. Most of the men involved seemed to have too many muscles, their body too large for their brains. From what she could see the ones winning were the smaller people involved. They were much more coordinated with how they attacked another person. They seemed to know what they were doing.
They watched from outside the bar, hands on their staff to hold themselves up as they leaned against it. The brawl continued, they made a face as one red-headed elf threw up in a werewolf's mouth, the bear that rushed past tearing someone to pieces, another was thrown through another wall landing on a bed with a naked gnome playing an instrument.
They laughed, amusement hidden under their mask at the fight happening. The bar owner suddenly pulled up to the bar itself, their anger evident in their voice. Though if one couldn't tell from their voice, it was obvious when they shifted into a large bull beast, yelling at the patrons of the establishment.
"-And what is that gnome doing with my daughter!?" They yelled, pointing back to the room the human man crashed into. "Who's paying for all this!?"
"Such a mess. Absolutely dreadful. But I can assure you, darling, Vox Machina will find those responsib-" The bar owner cut the half-elven lady off, waving her hands in a dismissive manner.
The masked figure turned to walk around the tavern, heading towards the front door as something else fell inside. They waved their hand, a yellow glow coming from them as they made a cushioned fall as one by one the mercenaries were thrown out the door. The blue lady was first, followed by everyone else as they landed on her. Once no more patrons were shoved out, they undid their spell, the group groaning as they fell to the floor this time.
