Don't Think I Could Forgive You

[Ambers POV]

I woke up to see Ponyboy by my side, my face was in his neck and his chin was on my head. I wiggled out of his grasp and got up. The room was spinning and I felt dizzy. My head was killing me, I was hungry, I was thirsty, I was sleepy, and I need pain killers!!!

I opened the door and walked downstairs, I saw Darry making eggs and bacon. "Hi sweetie." He said flipping the eggs. "What's wrong?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He asked. I knew something was up, its not everyday you hear Darry calling you sweetie. "You never call me sweetie Darry. What's up?" I asked getting some pain killers. "You've got a hangover huh?" Darry said pointing to the pills. "Yeah. Hey, don't you go changing the topic! Tell me what's wrong." I said before I gulped down the pain killers.

"I-we were so worried about you. I thought you were pregnant or lost somewhere. Ponyboy felt the worst out of all of us. He was acting exactly how soda and I acted when we couldn't find Ponyby and Johnny " Darry said. "Thanks for caring Darry." I said pulling him into an hug. He hugged me back and we pulled apart. I walked to the living room to find Two-bit and Dally laying on the couches asleep. Two-bit had a beer in his hand, Dally had a burned out cigarette.

I looked back at Darry, he smiled and nodded. He knew what I was thinking. I went to the kitchen, grabbed two pots and filled them with ice cold water, Darry helped me by carrying the other pot. We walked over to the couches and dumped the water on them. They got up and looked mad, Darry and I ran for it. I decided to hide in the bathroom cabnit. Darry his in the shower, wow brilliant hiding spot Darry. Two-bit and Dally came running after us, they found Darry and playfully beat him up, and they were looking for me. Darry didn't tell a soul where I was because frankly he didn't know.

I stayed in the cabnit scrunched up for hours. I heard faint voices, "Where could she be?" Soda asked. "I honestly don't know, Darry was the last person to see her." Dally said. I put my arm around my mouth to muffle my laughing.

"She was in here with me last time I saw her." Darry said as they entered the bathroom I was in. "Where'd she go then?" Steve asked. "I don't know I was busy hiding." Darry said in defense. I muffled my laugh. "Maybe she's outside." Dally said. They all murmured in agreement and they went outside. I should probably find a new spot. So I ran to Ponyboys room. He was still asleep, so I hid in the closet, he had a top shelf on it so I climbed up and hid myself under a blanket.

They came into Ponys room and woke him up. "Amber's gone we've gotta find her Pony." Soda said. "I know where she'd be." Ponyboy said in a sleepy voice. "Where!?!?!" They all shouted. "In the bathroom cabnit." Ponyboy said proudly, they all ran to the bathroom. Ponyboy didn't follow them he walked over to the closet and said "Amber I know your hiding here.", "Damn you Pony." I whispered so the guys couldn't hear me. He went over and locked the door and yelled to the guys "I'm gonna change!!" And then he pulled the blanket off me. "You found me." I said in sarcastic joy. He lifted me down, "I wasn't asleep you know." He said. "Wow I didn't know that." I replied with sarcasm.

He carried me to his bed and leaned closer to me, he whispered "do you love me?" He asked. I nodded. We were a centimeter away, our lips were so close to touching. Until the guys came and banged on the door, "She's not there Ponyboy!!!" Sods yelled. "If I don't see her in one minute I'm gonna die!!!" Two-bit said. "I agree!!!" Dally replied. "I want cake!!" Steve yelled. "Will all of you shut up!!!" I yelled. "Amber!?!?!" They all said at the same time. "Yes its me!" I yelled. Ponyboy smiled. "Thank the gods I found her!!!" Soda said. "I found her!!!" Ponyboy said in a jealous/angry tone. "I'll meet you guys in a second I need to talk to Ponyboy." I said as I laughed. They left me and Ponyboy alone. I peeked out the door to see if any of them were outside spying on us. No one was there, so I closed the door and waved Ponyboy to follow me, we crept outside and ran to the park.

We raced to the swings, I won cause I cheated and got a head start. "Y-yo-ou c-che-ated!" Ponyboy said in between breathes. "I know." I said smiling while swinging on the swings while Ponyboy pushing me. "Tell me a poem." Ponyboy said. I nodded and started my poem like this,

"The wind blows, tears fall, my heart sinks deep down in my chest.

I hate the feeling, of you leaving.

The ocean waves goodbye.

I don't want to be alone, cause I'll only be left with my shadow.

Getting wasted, taking drugs, having sex seems to fill that gap, when it only hurts me more.

I need to stop, living in a haze, and accept the fact that you've moved on...

I love you, I love you to the moon and back.

But even if you come crawling back, I don't think I could forgive you." I ended my poem. Ponyboy clapped his hands "That was deep! Where'd you learn it?" He asked. "I made it up." I said as I smilied. "You haven't done any of those things though right?" Ponyboy asked. "No I've never gotten wasted, never took drugs, never smoked, I'm still a virgin." I said. He smiled and hugged me, "Good." He said. I smiled and hugged him back. "I loved your poem." He whispered. "Thanks." I whispered back.
