Chapter 9

Today was a special day.

At least that's what the professor said.
Ororo's nephew came here last night, Evan Daniels, he's a mutant too, though I can't really understand his powers, something about spike projection.

He has light blond hair in a yellow shade and his dark skin makes his hair look even lighter. And his eyes are the color of wood.

He came here because the professor bailed him out of jail for breaking into some lockers.

He said he did not do it, and I believe him.

We were downstairs now eating breakfast in the huge dining room waiting for him to wake up.

I sat next to Logan, while Jean and Scott sat across from us, with the professor in the middle.

"So, where's the new guy?" I asked, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.

"He's still sleeping, he had a difficult evening," the professor explained and Kurt teleported next to Logan.

"Mmm, I love the smell of bacon in the morning!" He said excitedly and began eating his bacon and eggs.

I smiled at how much the simplest things can excite him. 

"I think he knows who really trashed those lockers," Scott said and I nodded.

"I agree with him," I said, pouring myself a glass of orange juice.

"Did he tell you?" Scott asked the professor.

"No, he didn't and I am not going to force him either, he'll tell us when he's ready," the professor replied.

"If you ask me, he wants to take care of it personally, Red pass the sausages," Logan said, and  Jean passed the plate with the  sausages to him .

I totally agree with Logan about Evan .

"So, you think he wants revenge?" the professor asked. 

"Look, Chuck, I cannot read minds, but I know what a young kid thinks when he's wronged - Elf!" He shouted as Kurt teleported, his tail hanging from the fan, trying to reach the pancakes on the other side of the table.

I laughed at Logan's reaction.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Ask me and I will pass it to you!" Logan scolded him.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt," Kurt said smiling apologetically, and teleported back to his seat.

"That's better, behave yourself," Logan said, handing Kurt the pancakes.

"Anyway, it might be best if Evan, has other things on his mind so he can distract himself from revenge, I have already enrolled him on the Bayville basketball team. Scott, would you like to introduce Evan to the coach later?" asked the professor.

"Of course, the coach will jump from happiness, when he sees him," said Scott, said happy to do it. 

Apparently, this Evan Daniels is a basketball star. He actually had a very successful game last night that Ororo went to see and then she got Scott and Jean so they could chat with Evan and then they all ended up in jail. 

Long story short, that's what happened.

"Good, let's hope that Evan's desire for revenge would fade away in time," the professor said and I heard the sound of torn clothes.

I looked in the direction of the sound and saw Evan coming up the stairs, looking back at me.

He was mad.
