Another day, another nightmare.
Truth is, ever since I came here, I find myself being able to deal with them more effectively than I used to.
The people I met at the Xavier School help a lot, only the thought of them makes my day better.
Anyways.
We were in the school yard, eating lunch at one of the tables there. Jean was asking Scott about some kind of party, but I wasn't really paying attention as I used my fork to play around with my fruit salad.
"Going to Duncan's Matthew party? Nah, I don't think so," Scott said.
"Are you gonna finish that milk?" Evan asked while pointing at Scott's mini carton of milk.
"Here, you can have mine," Jean offered and handed him the carton.
"Come on, it might be fun!" Jean exclaimed, to Scott this time, returning back to their previous conversation about the party.
"Matthews is a jerk!" Scott said annoyed and I laughed inside knowing what was really going on.
Scott had started talking shit about Matthews since the day he had gone on a date with Jean.
Scott was jealous, but Jean didn't seem to understand, or did she?
"No, he isn't a jerk! I will gladly go!" Evan said while drinking Kurt's milk.
"No freshmen allowed," Scott replied strictly to Evan.
"Oh, man! Then Matthews is a jerk!" Evan said and grabbed my milk, while I rolled my eyes at Scott.
Scott saw me and sighed.
"Half of the school will be there! Suppose somebody gets too close to Kurt, the image inducer won't stop him from feeling his fur," he said, attempting to sound reasonable.
"Hey! Chicks, dig the fuzzy dude! Right?" Kurt asked me after leaning on me.
An awkward laugh escaped my lips as I pushed his head gently away from mine.
"Yeah, about that...., " I hesitated.
"Yeah, sure, whatever you say," I said, taking another bite from my fruit salad.
"See? She can't resist," Kurt said dramatically to Scott and fixed his hair as I bit my lips trying not to laugh.
Scott groaned in frustration.
"I am trying to be serious here! What if the brotherhood do something? We aren't the only mutants in the school, you know," Scott said, defensively.
"Yeah, we're just the cooler ones!" Evan said and high fived Kurt. I laughed at their antics.
"Come on, Scott! What's wrong with a little bit of socializing?!" Jean said and I could see Kurt getting more and more impatient.
"I am sorry guys, but I still don't think it's a good idea," Scott said and Kurt jumped on the table.
"Dude, it's just a party! Party! Party! Party!" He shouted repeatedly and started dancing on the table. l began laughing, but soon stopped when I saw Kurt's tail.
Scott noticed it too and immediately pulled him down by his tail.
"Watch the tail!" Scott whisper-yelled.
Kurt was obviously offended.
"You pulled my tail, man!" Kurt shouted angrily.
"Grow up Kurt! " Scott said getting in front of Kurt's face.
