Time Apart

Nathalie woke up to the sound of her alarm in an empty bed.

Since her and Hunter haven't been getting along recently, Hunter has decided to sleep in the guest bedroom until they work things out.

Usually Nathalie would be out of bed and in the washroom putting on her makeup, but this time she just laid there staring at the ceiling.

She just couldn't bring herself to get out of bed.

After hitting snooze on her alarm for the third time, Nathalie finally got out of bed.

Once she was dressed, she went downstairs to get on her shoes and coat.

Hunter was in the kitchen making himself a coffee and saw Nathalie make her way towards the door to the garage.

"Want a cup to go?" Hunter asked, holding up a cup of coffee.

"I'm alright, thanks" Nathalie responded

"Will you ever have time for breakfast in the morning?" Hunter lifted his cup up to his face and took a sip.

"Probably not, sorry" Nathalie apologized, and threw her bag over her shoulder.

"At least a kiss goodbye?" Hunter gave Nathalie a cheeky grin.

Nathalie really didn't want to. Hunter and her haven't really been acting like a couple recently, but she also didn't want to start a fight this morning either.

She walked over to Hunter and gave him a short kiss on the cheek.

Before she could turn around and walk back towards the garage, Hunter wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her into a deep kiss.

Nathalie was surprised by Hunter's actions and pushed him away.

Hunter looked at Nathalie confused

"I can't kiss my wife?" Hunter questioned, he sounded like he was hurt by Nathalie's actions.

"You can when you treat her properly" Nathalie sneered

Picking up her bag again, Nathalie walked towards the door leading to the garage. Opening it, she walked towards her car and got in.

The drive to the Agreste mansion seemed to go on for ages.

Nathalie knew that today would be yet another awkward day. Her outburst yesterday didn't exactly leave Gabriel in a good mood, at least that's what she thinks.

"Damn it, I should have kept my mouth shut" she thought.

Nathalie arrived at the mansion and parked her car in the garage.

Walking down the hall towards the main foyer, she greeted Adrien with his schedule for the day.

"Morning Nathalie" the young man greeted

"Morning Adrien" Nathalie smiled and pulled out her tablet.

"Today after school you have fencing practice, then your chinese lessons shortly after."

Adrien nodded his head

"You don't have much time today for our music lesson, so if you can, practice the piece we looked over yesterday" Nathalie continued.

"Okay Nathalie sounds good, Have a good day" Adrien smiled, and rushed out the door.

"Have a good day Adrien" Nathalie responded

She watched as Adrien went out of the front door and headed for the car waiting to take him to school.

Nathalie sighed before opening Gabriel's office door
