Some important things you need to know about this book
BEFORE YOU READ:
1. There is NO magic of any kind, there is no miraculous or miraculous holders.
2. I've made some changes to the characters
Changes with Nathalie Sancoeur
Age: 32
She is originally from Russia and came to France when she was 13. She and her family moved here to be closer to her grandparents. Although when Nathalie was 15 her mother died of cancer and her father left her and her sister due to his grief. They both moved into their grandparents house.
She keeps her life private from Gabriel because he is ashamed of her past. (you'll have to read in order to find out what it is) Nathaile has worked for Gabriel for 11 years, in those years she has sadly seen the death of Emilie and how Gabriel has dealt with it . She can also speak 7 languages (English, Russian, French, ASL, Japanese, Spanish, and Italian). Nathalie has had feelings for Gabriel for about 5 years, They have gotten very close over those 5 years. She even promised him that she would never leave him, and still keeps that promise to this day.
When Nathalie first moved to Paris, she moved in with Penny. They lived in the same house for a while until Penny found a job with Jagged Stone and needed to find a closer place to live. Now Nathalie lives in the same house alone.
Changes with Gabriel Agreste
Age: 33
He is still mainly the same as in the show, but I've changed the background a bit.
He was raised in a super rich family. Although his father was abusive and his mother never really had time to be there. His father never approved of his love as fashion and would often beat him when he found him drawing.
He was finally able to convince his father to let him go out and try to make a living doing what he loves. He spent 4 years in New York with nothing but his clothes and a few bucks. He was able to find a place to live in a small Italian restaurant. He made an agreement that he would work there if he was also able to stay in their backroom. Over those 4 years he has gotten very close to the family that owned that restaurant, they have turned into the family he never had growing up.
After losing Emilie, Gabriel didn't know how to deal with her death so he started to drink and do drugs. It got so bad that he started becoming hostile towards Nathalie and Adrian. Eventually one night he surrounded himself with bottles of alcohol and many bags of drugs. He was about to overdose when Nathalie stopped him. She helped him back into bed and he made her promise that she would never leave him.
After that night Gabriel has been in love with Nathalie, but he didn't accept it right away. He was in denial for about 3 years until one day Nathalie kissed him on the cheek and he realized he had feelings for her. She was with him through everything, she helped him rebuild his relationship with his son, Adrian and helped him rebuild his business and fashion lines. He has had feelings for her for the past 8 years, I mean how could he not. He was thrown in a dark cave and she was his flashlight.
Smaller changes
-Gorilla (bodyguard) is now named Joe Smith and he has a wife (Barbrea) with three kids
-Father figure towards Nathalie
-Joe is 47
-Gabriel has a staff that works there only for when guests are staying at the mansion (maids, butlers, kitchen staff, security)
3. There is explicit sexual content

5. (TW) This book deals with addictions to drugs, alcohol, and gambling. It also mentions abuse with some detail and a small amount of blood.

6. This story will take place after all of the events that are mentioned in the "Changes to Nathalie and Gabriel" tabs.
